Thinking about making one but not mono-black. Between Red, Blue, and Green what would be the best secondary color for an infect deck?

well i think green might be goodbecause my friend just attacks with a 1/1 infect creature and we let it pass because just one and then BOOM giant growth or mutagenic growth, and were technically dead

I think I might have it focus more on proliferating, I'll definitely have artifacts. Originally I was thinking black/green but blue has a few unblockables and a few nice proliferations

i run a black green one and it works pretty good, with Phyrexian Swarmlord u get lots of little 1/1s and Garruk Wildspeaker Bumps them for an easy kill

Red infect if anything is an assist color. Since the only red infect cards cam out in NPH, there really isn't a wide path of choices compared to blue or green. Green infect works by throwing on cheap pumps as you already know from your friend, but can be easily beaten by an Into the Roil . Blue also doesn't have too many infect creatures as blue was primarily the proliferate mechanic. I would say use blue or green as primaries and white, black, or red secondaries. Check out my G/B infect for idea's for proliferate wins if you choose to go primary blue.

Also choosing black as a primary is great too but since you didn't want mon-black, I didn't say that.

I have 4 different infect decks currently on this site if you'd like to check them out and see which type you'd like to play.
Aggro Infect is my G/B infect deck. Very fast and effective pump infect. Capable of a turn 2 kill. Usually delivers a final blow by turn 3 or turn 4.
Shroud of the Dark Side is my G/U infect deck. Again fast, but has the counterspells and unblockable abilities. Little slower, but can still deliver a turn 2 or 3 kill.
Embrace your fate is my B/U infect deck can take out all of the opposition while steadily putting on infect counters. Not as fast but all about control and putting on infect counters.
Skitthy lash Mono-Black infect. Lots of control and removal. Just steadily putting on infect counters. Not to mention that you have lashwrithe as the ultimate annoyance. Similar to U/B, but a lot more power packed.
I've actually made a mono-red infect deck for the heck of it before. I like a lot of the NPH red infect cards, but Blue and Green are far superior with their wide array of complementary cards. Its all about your game play really. I've even seen very effective R/W infect decks.

yeah, but a green and black is most effective, because even if an opponent does Into the Roil you can have multiple pump cards. and it also has a few decent umbras, like Boar Umbra , and Spider Umbra

and green also has some decent infect, like Blight Mamba which really SUCKS, cause it is the ultimate nusiance. and i think also like glistner elf or something. also get some Doom Blade and a few Terror . meaning like killing monsters cards.

It depends what you want the deck to do. Blue is good for spell control (Mana Leak ). Red adds creature control (Incinerate ). Green adds a lot of speed (Mutagenic Growth ).
