Hi guys,

When playing a mono-black deck based on Gravecrawler and Undying stuff. How would you deal with a Grafdigger's Cage ?

Cheers,TofoeBob

Kill them fast.

But really, mono-B only really has answers for creatures.

You could splash red for Rakdos Charm ; just go for some duals in your mana base.

Or splash for green for that matter, green has a lot of anti-artifact spells as well. It has some undying creatures too.

Perhaps I'll sideboard Ratchet Bomb and Gruesome Discovery (morbid is always on in my deck.) Think that might work?

Ratchet bomb could do the trick.

You could also splash red for something basic like Smelt . That also opens you to Falkenrath Aristocrat and ilk for some great sac engines.

Thanx. I love Falkenrath Aristocrat , but for this deck I'd like to stay mono-black. (I have some benefits from that like Lashwrithe )

if you splashed green Abrupt Decay is the answer, but if you don't, I agree with Ratchet Bomb or Engineered Explosives , Oblivion Stone , The last one may too slow for your game plan, but is an option. I'm assuming modern play vs legacy, vintage or commander. Other wise there are other choices like Nevinyrral's Disk and Eye of Doom

Though I like the idea of reanimating Ashen Rider when it's needed (no need to splash white, just cast Unburial Rites from hand after getting it in your graveyard).
