Artifact Recursion

Thinking of making a jund or izzet artifact deck, if it was jund it would revolve around Glissa, the TraitorMTG Card: Glissa, the Traitor, Slag FiendMTG Card: Slag Fiend and EmbersmithMTG Card: Embersmith with sac outlets and the obvious recursion. if it went izzet it would use EmbersmithMTG Card: Embersmith, RiddlesmithMTG Card: Riddlesmith and Trinket MageMTG Card: Trinket Mage along with etb effects and triggered abilities, maybe metalcraft. i'd want to add recursion, but i probably would have to dip into modern to do that

dunno if these ideas are worth trying out, anyone seen similar decks?

If you want to include a significant recursion theme, then you shouldn't bother playing with Slag FiendMTG Card: Slag Fiend, because every recursion effect you play will make him worse. Other than that, I think it's an interesting idea worth pursuing.

This might end up turning it into a completely different deck than what you have in mind, but if you want to play artifacts over and over again and you're going to be in Red, what do you think about a Rage ExtractorMTG Card: Rage Extractor deck that leans heavily on the phyrexian-mana creatures?

ive seen one, cant remember the name exactly but it has either rage or extractor as one of the words in the deck's name lol. didnt really stike me as much of an original idea. though i did make a deck based on glissa, the plan was to use the recursion to keep options in hand, the Slag FiendMTG Card: Slag Fiend was just going to be an early beater until Glissa, the TraitorMTG Card: Glissa, the Traitor hits the battlefield, it didnt have the smiths in it to support artifacts coming into play though.

did a rough version for it, the deck is Quad-Colour Smithy and Slag FiendMTG Card: Slag Fiend wouldnt do half bad if you got a RiddlesmithMTG Card: Riddlesmith and Phyrexia's CoreMTG Card: Phyrexia's Core in your opening hand, i dont even think glissa works in the deck :P
