Assistance with a Sliver Horde.

Deck Help forum

I'm working on a new deck for Horde Magic: Slivers! :)

The only problem is I have hated slivers for nearly my entire magic career so i don't know very many off the top of my head. Do any of you have suggestions?

Or better yet have any of you already made this /have posted it online? if so can you link it?

Thanks

I was hoping for some specific suggestions so I don't have to sift through the tons of slivers out there.

Thanks though

Gemhide Sliver will be your best friend. You need Crystalline Sliver because nothing says 'can't touch this' like shroud. Muscle Sliver is also an elementary sliver, along with Winged Sliver , and Sliver Overlord , Sliver Legion , and Sliver Queen !

Gemhide Sliver would be pointless because of how horde magic works.

That's for a zombie horde but the same rules would apply.

Oh! I understand what you are building now! What a cool format! I will make a list of the sliver you could play and enjoy.

Battering Sliver

Bonesplitter Sliver - pretty scary

Brood Sliver - which would be crazy!

Frenzy Sliver - brings a very horde like feel.

Fury Sliver

Harmonic Sliver - idk if it really has a place, but you never know

Hunter Sliver - i think it is very flavorful

Might Sliver

Root Sliver - I am not sure how this would play out in the format

Shadow Sliver - the end all sliver

Sidewinder Sliver

Toxin Sliver

Two-Headed Sliver - another very strong sliver

Distant Melody - it could also throw the deck over the top?

The format seems totally awesome, I hope this post helps! I really want to see the final layout!

It totally does help thank you very much :)

I'm thinking of using Sliver Legion as the "final boss" of sorts, always have him as the last card of the deck. As well as having special rules for the Sliver Queen (summons 3 slivers per survivor per turn).

I can see how you can fine tune the deck to different difficulties. What are you using as sliver tokens?

A combination of mostly Metallic Sliver 's but some card:Venser's Sliver's and some cool sliver token proxies

It is fair that they are 1/1's considering the massive power level of slivers. Are you playing any non tribal spells?

the problem i faced when building sliver horde a few months ago is that the sliver tokens are really small (1/1) in comparison with the zombies that are 2/2 naturally. The hardest part with horder slivers is getting the balance between tokens and real slivers, they will either roflstomp you or vice versa! I also recommend possibly using 2 boss cards as if the sliver deck is wrathed once or twice the opposing teams will recover faster meaning the slivers will need a bomb or two.

The sliver queen would be a miniboss of sorts. What I'm wondering now is what kind of non creature spells would be useful in this kind of deck? I was thinking Coat of Arms but that seems too powerful to me.
