Assisting someone new to EDH with some tribal decks

Deck Help forum

So I've very new to EDH (and technically MTG, since I took a hiatus of several years starting from Tempest to Gatecrash), but several friends have really gotten me back into it with this format. I find it quite interesting, and have started to conjure up possibilities for potential decks. Tribal/theme decks seems the way to go for me, since they're a nice combination of flavor and creatures and spells I'd never be able to play in a normal game. I understand that it's probably not gonna be anywhere as powerful as the combo decks I keep seeing, but that's not a huge deal. With that said, I've started thinking up three possible tribal decks: a Boros Soldier deck, a Bant Angel deck, and a Grixis Vampire deck. The Boros one is nearly done, and I'm making this particular one on a sort of budget, with some exceptions.

As I look through some of my other cards and other decks, eventually I hope to add the other 2 tribal decks to this thread as well. Again, any constructive criticism and advice is welcome. :)

Check out some of the articles on my profile page. They're geared toward EDH players.

Here's a link to your deck: Boros Soldiers EDH (Semi-Budget)

You can make links by putting two brackets - [ - around the name of the deck found in the link. :3

also, use markdown to link your decks. People here are lazy and won't help you if they have to find the deck themselves. Even copy/pasting the link is often too much work.

The [] for links I understand (thank you!), but I'm don't really understand how the markdown thing works.

the [] thing is a part of markdown syntax. Go over the formatting tips and comment tutorials if you still have questions. They are located at the bottom of every page with a comment box. You can also use most html here if you know how to do that.
