Attempting to become a better deck builder
Deck Help forum

I go through this site nearly everyday and I know many of the cards and combos that people use for standard and modern mainly but EDH is very slowly getting there for me. I would like to try to get a better understanding of why and how people use their cards so I would like to ask a favor for anybody who would like to participate. If you would like to, then post a comment either on this post, or on my profile page, with a link to your deck that you would like to see improved. I will look at your deck and try to give the best advice that I can give using my personal knowledge, other decks on the site, and various research tools. The next part is important to me. From there I would like you to tell me if you found my suggestions useful or not and why you think that. I think that it will help me get a better understanding of what people look for and I personally enjoy looking at other peoples' decks. =] I will repost this thread about once every 2 weeks or when i get board but I am available to check out decks when ever anybody asks. There is no limit to how many decks I will look at as long as you just ask.
out of curiosity have you read this deckbuilding article?

I've found I usually end up just suggesting people to read that article when I look over their deck, a good number of the people on this site are casual players and the article ends up giving them the tools they need to improve their decks instead of explaining their budget and goals to me.
As for a deck to request a look over I can't really think of any of my current decks, so instead I'll request a small challenge: "Build a competitively minded 5 color aggro deck for the current standard format. All 5 colors must be present in the mainboard."
As for the thread topic I'd suggest paragraphing it to make a little space, also I believe you meant bored instead of board.

There are always the decks in the cycle and feature queues to look through.
On a related note, there seem to be a TON of deck help threads getting posted every few days, so I'm sure it would help both you and the posters of those threads if you selected a few of their decks.

Here are mine:
Planeswalker Tokens is the main one. I don't know if there is much to suggest on these but if you want, go for it. Secrets of Burning, deck:soul-sisters-find-trostani, and deck:the-captains-tacticians.

sigh w999 your first link is to someone else's deck, when using a generic name like that you'll need to include the whole link to the deck (the last bit after the 2nd to last / in the url) like this deck:planeswalker-tokens-16-11-12-1

I just recently tried my hand at a Bant control deck. While I know it's a pretty popular deck, I need some help fine tuning it. Any help would be appreciated.

@Demarge: I read that article close to when it came out and it is one of my favorites on the subject. Thanks though. As for your challange, sounds interesting. I will try it out.
@Epochalyptik: I go through that list everyday and pick out at least a few to try to help out with or rate. That is why I love this site so much, I am able to see so many peoples' decks and ideas. As for the deck help forum, I try to always catch at least of few of them when I get the chance but even if I miss their post, and if they see this one, hopefully I will still be able to help out.

Big ones for me are
Unleash the Scavengers!, Izzet Storm, and Graveborn Grixis in that order. If you could suggest anything it would be appreciated.
