Attempting to use Touch of the Eternal

I had the urge to build another janky deck, this time around Touch of the Eternal .

So, what permanents should be included? Well, creatures are easily board wiped, and enchantments are seeing a decent amount of hate recently. What does that leave us? Lands. Lots, and lots of lands.

For the deck I came up with, the entire point is to ramp into Touch of the Eternal as fast as possible. Once that's achieved, you keep spitting out lands like there's no tomorrow. Thankfully, there isn't any mass land destruction in the current standard rotation.

You might notice the lack of Boundless Realms . This is because every other bit of ramp will most likely have drained all the basic lands out of the deck, making the card useless.

Curse of the Bloody Tome and Psychic Spiral create win cons by decking your opponent. Psychic Spiral also helps to recycle creatures and ramp spells back into the deck.

Thing is, if there's quite a bit of enchantment hate lately, you're going to have a hard time protecting Touch of the Eternal .

I agree. The sideboard would have to be transformational, and/or include counterspells to protect it.
