Attention Mill Mages!!!!

Deck Help forum

I'm just trying to put together my first Dimir Mill deck, and would like it to be relatively competitive in standard.

Problems I have is, I don't know if I should be going all out mill???

Or slow mill with planeswalkers, control with the rest of my instants??

Also what creatures to use and how many??

I'd really appreciate some input and insight from experienced Dimir players, what speed of deck should I be looking for?? Pointing out to me where I'm going wrong.

Thanks for your time - here's my deck:Ashiokingly Good Mill

Right now Supreme Verdict , Detention Sphere , and Sphinx's Revelation are too good to not use to control the board and protect your millwalkers. An esper control shell would be your best bet if you want to win though milling in this standard (Elspeth Likes Things in 3's is what I'm currently running)

Here's my deck: Got Mill? Its standard legal and is pretty balanced between control, mill and creatures. Its only real win con is milling, but its a persistent deck.

Consume This for standard and Smack Your Deck Up! for modern. I will continue to run mill in standard because I enjoy it win or lose. It definitely has its problems but it can do well against a variety of deck styles if you can take away the other players win cons. My biggest problem is that it runs super slow. Fast aggro and beat face heavy creature decks give millers fits and have turned many mill decks towards control in order to get the job done.
