I'm building my first commander deck to play with some friends. The limitations we set up were that the deck could not cost more that $40 on the low end of the TCGPlayer price tracker, just to make things interesting. I decided on Azami, Lady of Scrolls for my commander. The commanders I expect to face off against are Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon , Aurelia, the Warleader , and Emmara Tandris .

Honestly, wanted to make an Emmara joke deck. Get a cheap foil and never play it, just sit looking at it. Then I realized that's stupid.

Yeah, that's what I thought, trying to convince that guy his deck is bad... he might make a Krenko, Mob Boss deck though.

I can see him choosing Emmara Tandris only because price is an issue here and she should in all fairness detract from the overall cost of the deck since most people will pay you to take her off their hands.

I can't give suggestions... Laughing too hard that somebody chose Emmara Tandris over... Well... Any of the other GW token gens. Rhys the Redeemed , Trostani, Selesnya's Voice , Tolsimir Wolfblood , or even Captain Sisay to search up those three.
