Azorius control without AEtherling?

I made an Azorius control deck that can be found here: Prognostic Control
The idea behind it is pretty simple, I wanted to create a deck that utilizes control while allowing me to play large, powerful flying creatures (because I hate AEtherling ). As soon as I saw Prognostic Sphinx I fell in love with the card, and it has quickly become my MVP for this deck.
My question is this: Do you think this deck will be competitive without AEtherling ?

AEtherling is just raw card advantage as a wincon. He may as well say, "U: Blank a removal spell board wipe. Then If another is cast, do it again for every U you have open." Prognostic Sphinx May dodge removal, but at the cost of a card from your hand which is a more valuable resource. He also can't dodge a wrath like the super dude can

Does the Scry 3 that Prognostic Sphinx has when it attacks (which has won me multiple games) make it a worthwhile card to replace AEtherling ? By the time I have Proggy out, I usually have 4-5 cards in hand and nobody has dared target it because it's a waste of a removal spell. Paired with Jace, Memory Adept or Opportunity or the most likely card, Azorius Charm , the Scry 3 gives me the advantage of digging for answers that AEtherling lacks and drawing them when I need them.

If you find your AEtherling lacking answers, then you aren't using it right.

I'm not using it period, but I am fully aware of its merits. It's a better card in most aspects than Prognostic Sphinx , but I think the Scry 3 bridges most of the gap.

I just realized that the grammar you were referring to, "answers that AEtherling lacks," was not actually referring to the card AEtherling , but rather the Scry 3 being something that AEtherling doesn't do that would allow me to dig for answers. Sorry for my confusing wording, It's hard for me to express my Magic thoughts about strategy in text.

The inherent problem with not using AEtherling is that it's just better than everything other control creature. If you can somehow make a creature as dependable and invincible as AEtherling , more power to you. Until then, however, you're really just hurting yourself.
