Azorius Keyrune as a possible replacement for Mutavault?

First off, I understand that Azorius Keyrune is not Mutavault , and isn't nearly as strong, but I need three Mutavault and only have 1, and spending $80 to buy the rest is out of question. In a U/W control deck, is Azorius Keyrune an acceptable pseudo-Mutavault . It serves as bad ramp (like a hand with two lands and Mutavault is acceptable, but not two lands and a Keyrune), and costs more to animate. However, because I'm poor, I might be forced to run two in my deck. What do you guys think about this?
It's not Mutavault by any stretch of the imagination. Especially since it requires three mana to get out, I'd just switch in two lands rather than play the Keyrune.

It is similar in the sense they both animate into 2/2s, but Mutavault is just plain better. I'd run a few extra lands instead.

Well I hear that three Mutavault makes a strong win con if something happens to AEtherling or Elspeth. The Keyrune is the same power as Mutavault and survives board wipes

The issue is that you are cutting two lands. U/W control (control in general, really) can't afford to run fewer than 26 lands. It just messes you up. The fact that they also cost three messes up your early game, when you need to be able to counter things, and slows down the Sphinx's Revelation s late game that you will need to survive.

It's a wasted slot, you're better off with the whip to recur AEtherling , but you want something else in there. The keyrune is just for limited mana-fixing and edh shenanigans. The only playable keyrune is the Rakdos Keyrune because it's a 3/1 with first strike. Even Gideon, Champion of Justice is better.
But add a second AEtherling .

Alright so the Keyrune is a no go. Idk if I need a second AEtherling

You're probably going to want 2 wincons and multiple copies of both.

Why would you not just run land?
