Best cards for R/W SOM/MBS/NPH Metalcraft deck

I want to build a new deck using nothing but Scars block. I'm thinking red/white metalcraft/artifact. What, in your oppinion are some essential cards for this type of deck? I need some ideas to get me started.

I'll throw some core cards in to fill in some holes here and there, so M12 would be fine. But no. Innistrad is out.

It's kinda weird, but kinda my thing. There are lots of reasons, really. a. I play strictly casual, and find it to be a lot more fun to build decks based on theme and flavor than trying to build a deck that's going to win all the time. b. I really love the Scars block, and don't care a whole lot for Innistrad. c. Building this way helps me keep my budget/card collecting under control. I focus all of my energy on a single block, rather than trying to buy up and collect everything under the sun.

Boros Slagfact! just updated it a bit to be more useful... basically I tried to stay away from INN, only problem was that I used the R/W dual land Clifftop Retreat is that a problem? The deck's goal is really just like Tempered Steel decks except I have lots of creatures that are able to go down but help pump up Slag Fiend, then you can use Assault Strobe and yeah, it is wins for me all the time in my casual group

Nice. I never play white, and the only red I play is the occasional aggro red, which I tend to get bored with quickly. I love artifacts, and thought this might be a way to get me to play/build a R/W I actually would be excited about.
That's exactly what I was looking for. Suggestions like Slag Fiend, Assault Strobe and Tempered Steel!
Might have to do some more digging. Currenly I only own 1x Tempered Steel, 1x Slag Fiend and 3x Assault Strobe. Puresteel Paladin would be fun too, but I also only have 1 of him.

Here is a bit of some metal craft stuff you can gather some idea's from Galvanic Blast, Molten Psyche, Embersmith, Blade-Tribe Berserkers, along with Koth of the Hammer an Elspeth Tirel are some wicked planeswalker's...Auriok Edgewright, Auriok Sunchaser,..Indomitable Archangel, Myrsmith, Dispense Justice...are most scar's cards that contain metal-craft'...if you need anything else'..im up to search for you' brotha...

no M12 or innistrad? cause I have one I could show you and it isn't half bad... I have a budget version and a full tilt one
