Azorius Control

That's a pretty bold statement coming from someone running more Guildgates than shock-lands.

And? I saw that it's not good.

Con...grats?

Views =/= quality.

You're obviously clueless as to what my objective was in making such a bold statement as the title to my thread.

Views = feedback.

So even though you were a condescending jerk about this whole thing, I'm walking away from this with something that will help me improve the deck....even though it's nothing I didn't already know, as anyone who is literate can easily see in the comments of the deck.

Thanks for the very friendly and constructive criticism by the way! ;)

No Elspeth, Sun's Champion , two of each Jace main, no Dispel or Swan Song in side means not the best control deck on the market.

If you make a facetious statement, expect facetious responses. Don't rag on me for just giving you what you deserve.

I just don't get why people have to resort to negativity. The title was supposed to grab attention, not invite rude comments and sarcasm. I don't deserve anything. I said nothing offensive... bold, yes...subjective, yeah....but nothing deserving of insultatious remarks. Like can't we all just get along? But for real?

You know what man....I'm sorry, really. I'm not patronizing you either. I'll be sure not to post stuff like this again. No hard feelings I hope.

If you wanted proper criticism you should have thought the title out more. Something like: "Help Me Create the Best Control Deck on the Market!" clearly demonstrates to others that you want help, rather than trying to create a false statement which people will notice more and hit you for it more.

Also, a proper opening description is nice. Dictate what problems you have in this deck, which decks you are weak against, some information on how you want the deck made, etc etc. Descriptions are VERY important, as a good description will give you a lot more attention and a lot more feedback.

What is said about the description is very true. Little to no description invites minimal to no feedback.

Also: makes sure your descriptions are correct. I have a very bad habit of putting the wrong descriptions down, or not reading rules or the cards properly, or not updating deck descriptions. I was once wondering why my RDW deck wasn't getting upvotes or comments for weeks, when I noticed that I described having Browbeat when I removed that card a long time ago. It was a real "derp derp" moment.

Thanks everyone. I will be sure to take your advice into consideration in the future...however, I want to just add that the reason I did this in the first place was because I have experienced several instances in the past where I received little-to-no feedback when simply "asking for it," perhaps this happened because the post was looked-over, or just sounded uninteresting....in any case, I figured taking a more "bold and unconventional" approach would have more success....obviously I was wrong lol....But, thanks for clarifying a lot of this, and providing suggestions for the future, I truly appreciate it :)

I get lots of views from posting things like:

"No one ever gives me feedback on my decks ... sobs"

So it would help to post something bold but yet asking at the same time.

Haha okay...if you ever see that as a post assume it's me lol

Just want to put in my two cents.

Next time try actually asking for help.

Advertising your deck as the best control deck out there, when there are clearly better decks that outclass your deck in many ways is not the best way to go. You actually insult the experienced players who put a lot of time and money into building their decks. Not that you're insulting me, I'd just like to point out that what you posted is not the best way of getting the results that you wanted.

In the future, when you're asking for help, it usually helps to have an objective in mind and an idea of what you think you need to do. For example:

I have this control deck, Azorius Control, and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to add Elspeth, Sun's Champion . Do you guys think I have too much counterspells? Or too little? Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Something like that probably would have gotten you some feedback within minutes.

The deck help forum is not for advertising your deck, I might add. It is for those who legitimately need help.

I'm sorry if it seems we're all ganging up on you, but we're just trying to stop the forums from becoming a toilet :/
