best creatures for burn?

Ok so I'm canabalizing the pds: fire & lightning deck and want to have a balance of 20-22 lands, 20-24 spells and fill in the blank spots with creatures... I'm thinking of things like Grim Lavamancer x2-4, Stormblood Berserker x2-4, maybe Mogg Fanatic x2-4 and/or Goblin Arsonist x2-4... I've got a few other ideas but i'd reeeally like some suggestions on this, thanks guys!!
Great suggestion but I'm looking for straight R :) I'm also considering 2-4x Chandra's Phoenix and maaaybe keeping the 2x Keldon Marauders ...

Guttersnipe will be great if you run burn spells. If you splash blue, Goblin Electromancer can take you to a less creature-heavy mode.

Well, there's Prodigal Pyromancer , Goblin Fireslinger , Cosi's Ravager if you haven't already thought of them. Then there's always Tok-Tok, Volcano Born . Power of Fire is good to have if you have some creatures not ping-ing already (for instance Tok-Tok and Cosi's Ravager). Then of course, Fire Servant buffs your instants and sorceries if you want... These are all Modern legal, just as a sidenote. Hope it helps.

Oh yeah, Curse of Bloodletting is good for that. BirkaBirkowski reminded me of it when he pointed out the Fire Servant .

if you want to smack your opponent with combat damage instead of effects, Blistercoil Weird and Kiln Fiend can become massive threats

I'm just playing casually these days so the sky is the limit although my bank account is not :p... ill post the deck on here shortly. Also, I have Guttersnipe in there now and he is great with Dual Casting on him :)

Kiln Fiend and Blistercoil Weird grow with each spell you cast and can either block favorably on your opponent's turn with instant speed burn or become bruisers on your turn

Ash Zealot is a solid creature with a 2/2 and a really useful ability. Cinder Pyromancer is awesome too. He can untap after every red spell you cast!

I do like that Ash Zealot ... do y'all know of any pingers that can do more than 1 damage?

I would suggest Curse of Bloodletting over the Fire Servant . It'll double all damage you deal to your opponent, including ability damage.

True while i do like having the 4/3 out it doesnt serve me too well in this deck and Dual Casting + Blistercoil Weird is going to be insane! Thanks for all the great suggestions guys, keep em comin!

Rakdos Cackler , Stromkirk Noble , Rakdos Shred-Freak and Hellrider are creatures I'm currently running in my Standard deck, and are all worth considering. Brimstone Volley is useful if you can consistently make things die.

Goblin Guide , Vexing Devil , Ash Zealot , and Keldon Marauders are the best options for burn. All of the other creatures that have been suggested are too slow. Grim Lavamancer is great but if you're running it you should probably be running 4x Arid Mesa and 4x Scalding Tarn as well... and they are kind of expensive.

if you're going for instant or sorcery heavy burn, consider Guttersnipe as a creature.

I think I'm leaning in the direction of loading up with 3x Stormblood Berserker , 3x Keldon Marauders , 1x Grim Lavamancer , 2x Guttersnipe and 2x Blistercoil Weird ill hopefully have a game or two where I can throw a Dual Casting on the Blistercoil Weird and just cast, copy, cast, untap, cast, repeat.. that along with Curse of Bloodletting would ruin somebodies day :) I may also sideboard the Vexing Devil , I like him but I don't like not deciding wether he is damage or a creature... all great ideas guys! Thanks so much :)

if you are playing Red-X Deathrite Shaman is a monster because it's first ability ramps, second and third abilities denies graveyard and works cheaper than Grim Lavamancer
