Hi there,

Is my understanding correct that I can target any number of creatures with Blessings of Nature ...even without giving them an actual counter? Just target them?

That would be kinda nice in combination Wild Defiance on the battlefield...

Unfortunately, you can't.

Gatherer Ruling: 5/1/2012

"You may choose up to four target creatures. You declare how many counters will be placed on each target creature as you cast Blessings of Nature. Each target must receive at least one counter"

Blessings of Nature does not state 'target' anywhere on the card

What about this one:

I've got Wild Defiance on the battlefield. If I cast Common Bond on let's say Wandering Wolf . Is it correct to say that he's targeted twice (and therefore get a +6/+6 bonus from Wild Defiance )...and +2/+2 from Common Bond ...for a total of +8/+8)?

@MonkeyMind: Apparantly not.

Gatherer ruling for Wild Defiance : 5/1/2012

If an instant or sorcery spell targets the same creature you control more than once, Wild Defiance will trigger only once.
