Bloodchief Ascension VS Liliana's Caress for discard.

I'm curious about what you all think of this. Here's my deck I want to run one of these in. A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste.

My main concern with Bloodchief, is putting counters on it, my concern with Caress is it being underwhelming. Bloodchief seems to have more synergy here with the board wipes, but can it get those damn counters?
