Brand new to MTG need help building a Blue and White control deck

Hi, I have bought a few booster packs and I got the deckbuilder's 2013 kit, but I am finding it difficult to know where to start to be honest. I have researched the different colours and what not, and have decided that I want a slow pace control blue and white deck, strategy not strength. I like the Angels in white and I also like the zombies in blue... do they go together? Does anyone have an idea for a good starting deck for me? I'd appreciate it a lot.

Azorius in both Return to Ravnica and Dragon's Maze have good control with the detain mechanic. You can start of with either of the Intro Decks for Azorius and supplement from there.

Good cards that don't come in either deck are...

Detention Sphere , Supreme Verdict , and Sphinx's Revelation (VERY expensive).

try going to the browse by hub section, then clicking "azorius" to get some inspiration. Also try the intro pack for azorius for a good base for the deck. IF you have friends that play, you could ask them, and they might help you build a deck. As for zombies and angels? they don't really go together, the angels are big and flying, and the zombies require you to get creatures into your graveyard.
