Hey,
I have a b/u mill deck based around Phenax.
Phenax Deceives You
I explain the deck more in depth in the description. I would appreciate any help with it.
Thanks

Aggro is probably mill's greatest weakness, and this build doesn't want board wipes, so Drown in Sorrow is a good stalling tactic for this deck. 0% of your creatures will die to it and it can devastate aggro.

Hmm...BorosPlayer, are you suggesting I mainboard this? If so what do I take out? On the other hand, I think that I have a good matchup against aggro. I have defenders, ones with 3+ toughness to boot, that sit there and block. It could work though. My worst matchup I think is U/W/x control, because verdict. Fated Retribution doesn't help either. I need an answer to that.
Thanks

Still want some help with the main board. Don't think Erebos, God of the Dead and Murmuring Phantasm should be in there, but don't know what to replace them with.
Thanks

Honestly, I think this is the best option for running a Phenax deckB/U Milling Defenders (w/ BNG)

The key thing behind taking advantage of Phenax is having backup plans for when Phenax isn't around and high toughness creatures when Phenax is around especially to hold off vs aggro and midrange decks. The sad reality behind milling is that the win condition itself is at a severe disadvantage because it doesn't affect anything on the board or in hands directly so while investing into something is solely a win condition (unlike lets say aggro decks which can be used to win AND to prevent opponent from winning), this isn't necessarily filling as many roles, you're just tryin to live long enough to run them out.

But because you NEED to mill, this leaves very little card slots for other things such as board control. If I were to change what I have in this deck, I MIGHT remove my Sorcery mill cards for more control on board to make 12 total control cards for later in game, but that runs your mill speed down. I believe in going balls out but I think what I have is a much better base and doesn't solely rely on Phenax for the win, it presents different mill avenues and I believe having multiple avenues towards the same goal is the best way to design decks personally.

@Jairoe03, I like your deck. I took your suggestion with making another win condition. I added Doorkeepers, and Returned Phalanx. I was able to get Erebos and the Phantasm out of my main board. I do have to leave in omen speaker and thassa for scrying. With the new editions I made, I went down to 22 land. It seems to work with the scrying, I've had to mull down 5-6 depending on my luck. Thanks for your help, it seems to have pushed my deck closer to where I want it to be.Thanksstea1th4

No problem, yeah I just figured with Doorkeeper as an alternative way to consistently mill, there really isn't many other ways to dice it and it still gives limited amounts of aggro and other options. But yeah its mostly about the idea as opposed to the actual deck (given you were working around Doorkeeper and Phenax). Hope it helps and let us know how it works out, I'm fairly curious
