Budget Junk-Pod original ideas?
Deck Help forum

I intend to build myself a casual junk-pod deck on a 50-55 $ budget, without using the usual build that we all seen one too many time...
I already have a base layed out but as it is my first Birthing pod deck, I still need some help to tweak it and perhaps find new original ideas.
I know I want to use my Geralf's Messenger , Geist-Honored Monk and Trostani's Summoner as I have those right now
This is casual correct? Cause if it isn't then budget is not where you should be

It is casual, yes, and i'm not interested in birthing pod combos either

And junk pod should be able to do a deceit job of being budget but not for 55 maybe 200

are you saying this because of the landbase? If so don't worry about that, i'm trying to find ideas for creatures that aren't the overpriced bombs that everybody plays

I built a g/b Birthing Pod deck back during SoM standard, it was really cool. And I can tell you that you can build a budget pod deck pretty easily, just by throwing together creatures with lots of quality etb abilities/ltb abilities.
Stuff like Solemn Simulacrum , Viridian Emissary , Thragtusk , Sun Titan , Blade Splicer , Acidic Slime , Precursor Golem , Massacre Wurm , Wall of Omens , Carven Caryatid , or Wall of Roots .
The great thing about pod decks is that they're value engines, so while it's optimised by having the best creatures at every curve point, it's not necessary.

Carven Caryatid seems nice... at least as a 1-of :) may take a Massacre Wurm too.... thanks!

Here's a link to my old pod deck. It's been awhile since I played it, but you should be able to take some ideas from there.

Note that I'm also not against making a turn for Bant-pod instead if that opens up more possibilities :)
