Buffed Up Mana Dweebs? :D
Deck Help forum

Hey guys I just ended up buffing the crap out of my Arbor Elf and card:Avacyn's Pilgrim for the win and I thought that it would be an awesome Deck idea to try and do that nearly every time for the win. I was hoping that a few of you could help me out with some ideas for the deck :D
Any and all help is very much appreciated!

I would be interested in one modern/vintage and one Standard as well, I am open to all ideas :)

Scorned Villager Flip actually flips into a decent 2 CMC creature, and you can attack then still tap it for mana.

This was also an idea that I had a while back. My idea was to run 4x Arbor Elf , 4x card:Avacyn's Pilgrim, and 3-4x Collective Blessing. The next step is to make it Naya (adding R), and then focusing on pumping up the mana dorks, gaining extra combat phases, and possibly adding lifegain. A card:Trostani, Selesnya's Voice could also work well in the deck to offset other aggro decks. I'm guessing Rancor and Silverblade Paladin would also work well with how the deck runs. I'm just wondering if there are any other mana dorks that would be viable in this build.
Overall, it seems like a really fun idea. I abandoned this idea though and went to Bant a few weeks ago. I just like being able to switch over into control. lol
To make it more clear:
4x card:Avacyn's Pilgrim
4x Arbor Elf
3-4x Cloudshift
2x card:Trostani, Selesnya's Voice
4x Rancor
3x Aurelia, the Warleader
3x Farseek
Various Burn Spells ----- 3-4 slots open
Land - 23 slots - (Subject to change)
3x Sacred Foundry - or 3x Clifftop Retreat
2x Stomping Ground - or 2x Rootbound Crag
6x Forest
3x Plains
1x Mountain
This idea is mainly for after Gatecrash though. Thus, it's highly subject to change. It would mainly just focus on pumping up the mana dorks, and abusing the the benefits they would receive from the other stuff. I hope this helps you a bit. =)

Gavony Township is a must. With two mana-dorks, you could start using it turn-3.
Your biggest issue will be against control decks with lots of board-wipes or decks with cards like Rolling Temblor (which pops up in sideboards quite often).

If you want to buff the crap out of a creature? Chorus of Might in any token deck. That in itself would be amazing. Pair it with Growing Ranks and card:Commander's Authority and your mana dweeb will be terrifying.

@StonRighMeow
I know what you mean. With collective blessing, you'll be getting 4/4 mana dorks, card:Trostani, Selesnya's Voice will gain you 4 life for their toughness, and you'll be able to give them exalted, trample, or double-strike based on which spells you pull.
Besides this, you'll also be able to get out your big stuff pretty consecutively because you're running mostly mana-dorks. Scorned Villager Flip would also be a pretty good addition to the deck idea. I'm just interested in seeing how GC will improve it even more. lol

I slapped a GW together for now, I figured there's no point in going naya until GC. For the toughie I just slotted in 3 Armada Wurm cause of how easily I can get 6 mana, also i figured Savage Surge works well in here. I will upload the deck on here after work tonight.
Thanks a ton for all the help everybody :)

Were you thinking standard? If not, Birds of Paradise would work.
For buffs, Rancor is a must-have.
