There has been some talk about Delver of Secrets Flip becoming a thing again once Gatecrash is released.
The talk was focused around UG, but I think there's more play in the BUW spells.
Dimir Charm can act as an instant speed, weaker version of Ponder , while adding to the counter spells vs. most board wipes.
Lingering Souls for additional creatures and spells.
Hands of Binding enables repeatable control.
I've made a sample deck... still a proto-type. Tell me what you think: BUW Delver Gatecrash
What was it that made Delver so strong in the past?
Also, I don't see new Gideon being too great in this deck.

Ponder and Mana Leak were the main things that made it strong in the past.
As well, there are now more prevalent options to fight against the deck type (faster aggro, more removal, etc.)
Personally, I think that an early Dimir Charm at the end of an opponents turn is as good as a Ponder on yours, as it leaves all mana available for you on your turn, and allows you to setup the Transforming of Delver of Secrets Flip .
I'm sure you're right about Gideon... just wanted to throw him in. :) When/if I update the deck he'll likely be removed.

I don't think Delver will ever be as strong as it used to be. And thats a good thing for the game.
