So I have a u/b control deck Devoted to Control and i really like it. I can usually get ppl to scoop before turn 15 but the problem i am running into is I never know what to side in/out against esper that seems to be the hardest deck to win against so my question is what are good u/w sideboard cards against esper ? your feedback is greatly appreciated.
more counters, Syncopate and Negate go a long way to holding back esper. especially for the planeswakers and card draw spells.

TheDevicer Thank you I do have aetherling in the SB gainsay i am iffy on i would rather just have a dissolve or something not so color specific as for plate mail I have tried to make that card work but it just seems easily beaten maybe I will give it another try though... great suggestions ty
gufymike I run 7 counterspells MB already 4x dissolve and 3x syncopate how many do you think I could add before it becomes to many ?

I saw 2 Dissolve in the list and nothing else. Against control matchups (I play esper), I side in 5 to make 8 counters and 2 Jace, Memory Adept . I run 3 counters mainboard to deal with a heavy aggro meta, so I mainboard, 14 kill spells of some sort.

and sometimes I side in 2 Pithing Needle to deal with their planeswalkers or AEtherling

in esper all of their main spells have blue in them so anything you would want to counter you'll be able to. The only thing it wouldn't hit would be Elspeth. Also, if your adding in extra removal the help deal with all of the non creature spells they'll be playing then Negate and Gainsay will be your best friends in that matchup.
