Can a RED deck be viable and fun in multiplayer?

I've been trying to create a fun RED deck for casual multiplayer. But it never works. Is it even possible?
First, no Goblin tribal or dragon tribal decks... I want something original. And Aggro/Burn decks are worthless in my playgroup because against 3-4 opponents, you just can't race everyone fast enough, it's impossible. I would like to go for a mono red control deck but I'd need a solid defense to survive many opponents for a while until my huge spells go off. Anybody has ever seen a good multiplayer mono red control deck?
Guttersnipe will help you burn through all opponents.
Lobber Crew is a good defender who will also burn everyone.
Also as stated earlier Purphoros, God of the Forge would probably work wonders.

I'm not sure if mono-red control is a thing. Most of the control elements in American Control are U, W, or WU. For a mono-red multiplayer deck that isn't goblins I would suggest phoenixes, Purphoros, Fanatic of Mogis, and some burn spells and early creatures.

Do red rituals into global chaos effects.
Stuff like Seething Song into Scrambleverse and Warp World .
That'll be fun.

Burning Earth , Chandra's Pheonix and purphorous can be built around

Obviously it's possible, but effective? I can't really tell. It depends on how good your opponent's decks are. If they're more than decent, then you'll probably have a really hard time.

Ok I know, I know. Mono-red control is probably a stupid idea. That's why I have to do it loll. Hey I did succeed in building a MONO-GREEN CONTROL. And it's even pretty good lolll. (not "annihilate the multiverse" good, but "kick most standard butts" good.)

Thanks for the ideas guys. Purphoros, God of the Forge
, Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs
, Fanatic of Mogis
(plus of course the classic Flametongue Kavu
), they all look very fun in multiplayer. Maybe there's something to be done here. If you see some pure-red deck or card with enough fire-power to take on multiple opponents at once, let me know :)

mono red control is possiblish, i have it for my edh deck. you need a good deal of artifacts though. Smoke Grip of Chaos Planar Chaos any card that steals creatures like Act of Treason Crawlspace Blasphemous Act Possibility Storm are some "control" cards for red, although i like to call them everyone loses cards. those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Didn't think about Heartless Hidetsugu
. Could allow for the mass-burn to finish everyone fast. With haste this boy would be nasty.
About the "everyone loses" cards, Blasphemous Act
is very very good, maybe Ill go on the mass-removal side of red. Resolving a Wildfire
or a Destructive Force
just after I've landed a Planeswalker or some other win con would probably mean victory. I love Grip of Chaos
too, already own 4. They were never really useful though loll.

Heartless Hidetsugu + Loxodon Warhammer or Basilisk Collar is good. Maybe throw in Furnace of Rath or Gratuitous Violence .

If you look up the standard mono red devotion decks that are in standard right now they'd probably be fun, and Fanatic of Mogis only gets better when there's more opponents to burn.
