The reason Forces are so expensive is because they're the only card that fills its niche so well.

You could run Spell PierceMTG Card: Spell Pierce for a 1-drop counter or Pact of NegationMTG Card: Pact of Negation if you can win immediately/pay the cost later.

Misdirection is helpful sometimes, but I don't know the price off the top of my head. There isn't really anything that fills quite the same role as force of will though.

Pact of NegationMTG Card: Pact of Negation and DazeMTG Card: Daze come to mind.

ya i know about dash hopes but ive found players can and will pay five life and the issue with foil a black blue reanimator only has 2 islands in it and dual fecth lands seeing how the deck relys mainly on black idk maybe just keep it black until i can get force of wills and add dash hoes but the issue i see with dash hopes is whats five life for a Tormod's CryptMTG Card: Tormod's Crypt or any other flavor of grave hate which is what the counter is for

The issue with mono-black and adding Force of WillMTG Card: Force of Will is "You may pay 1 life and remove a blue card in your hand from the game rather than pay Force of Will's mana cost" you'll need too much blue to make it work. Dash HopesMTG Card: Dash Hopes with Drain LifeMTG Card: Drain Lifes is great for a black deck: deck:marit-lage-unleashed

Dash hopes just isn't what you need in a reanimator deck. Your goal is to quickly go off and reanimate a creature, and they have no problem just paying life to stop you from getting out a creature that will kill them. Honestly, it isn't worth it in your deck.

@ burkek the dash hopes would be to counter their spells like grave hate which agreed as is said the same theyll pay the life

@ minousmancer i would add blue dual lands fecth lands and DazeMTG Card: Daze, Spell PierceMTG Card: Spell Pierce, Show and TellMTG Card: Show and Tell the force of will is just the most expensive card to get as i have some of them, and can get the ones i dont realitively cheap except force of will and theres no point in adding blue without it from wat i see

so do you guys think it can run okay just black i know its faster but does it winn

the main reason i ask is i have many of the cards but the ones i dont are EXPENSIVE so i dont want to spend the money and it not work although i think it be good cuh only 1 person where i play has a reanimator that ive seen and it is black/blue and he wins pretty much everytime he top 4s can i do that with straight black using obilerators and thought seize duress as a way to counter the grave hate
