My deck Shrieking Discard just can't seem to deal with the following cards: Loxodon Smiter , card:Sphinx's Revelation and Sigarda, Host of Herons . Any suggestions on how to deal with those cards?
Thanks in advance :).
Blasphemous Act is probably the easiest way to deal with Sigarda in your colors, if Bonfire of the Damned 's not an option.

The only way they'll discard card:Sphinx's Revelation to Duress is if they don't know what they're doing. Because it can be cast at instant speed, you really have no way besides Slaughter Games to get rid of it. Even then, if it's in their hand, they can just cast in response to you making them discard. Just something you're going to have to live with. Unless you add some blue for counterspells, like Negate , and maybe Cancel or Dissipate Then you can do discard/mill, like straight up disruption. When I was typing this, I just thought of a deck...

card:Sphinx's Revelation is dead from turns 1-3, leaving it wide open for Duress .
Still, Slaughter Games is the best for getting rid of any problem card in any deck.

@bleath02 - Each time I read your posts, I get the feeling that you don't actually play Magic.
Duress gets card:Sphinx's Revelation on turns 1, 2, 3, and even 4 (if you're playing first). card:Sphinx's Revelation cast be cast in response to Slaughter Games at any point in the game (since card:Sphinx's Revelation costs less). You won't know what card your opponent will name until Slaughter Games actually resolves, but using card:Sphinx's Revelation in response will never be worse for you than just using it, unless your opponent is worried about an Angel of Serenity blow-out.
And, honestly, if you're calling "card:Sphinx's Revelation" with Slaughter Games late-game, you shave have won already or you're bad at Magic.
A well-aimed Duress or two can completely destroy a Control deck's opening hand.

Hey, I thought an opinion was wanted here. I may not be the most competitive player, but I still like to have fun. Maybe I just wasn't thinking at the time...doesn't mean I don't play.

You have Mizzium Mortars and Dreadbore for Smiter, but if you need anything more, Victim of Night or a good ol' Murder can deal with him. Revelation is best beat when ripped by Duress or preempted by card:Rakdos's Return, and you have those. As for Sigarda, sweepers are your only good options, and Mutilate and Blasphemous Act are solid there.
