Cards to Dump Excess Mana to Draw? [Modern]
Deck Help forum

Building an artificer/artifact deck that revolves around control with a touch of aggro. I havn't put it up here due to working it out on paper, but I was wondering if there was any permanents that'd let me dump excess mana into it to draw multiple cards? Instants will suffices if not, though I think I'd pass on sorcery due to wanting to dump any unused mana at the end of my foe's turn, since most of my mana will be spent on my turn (they'll likely untap on their turn.) Thanks in advance _
I should add, it's monoblue meant for modern rule-set. I'll post the deck up once I'm happy with it for some second opinion.

Can't think of permanents besides eggs though. Chromatic Star , Chromatic Sphere , and the like.

All I can think of is card:Blue Sun's Zenith, which is more or less what I'm looking for, probably should have mentioned that but writing and typing at same time doesn't work too well. Pretty much my mana producing artifacts ( Gilded Lotus , Seat of the Synod , etc) will untap on opponent's untap phase, so on their turn I can try to keep them from doing much, or what I don't use I'd like to draw cards in prep for my turn's shenanigans.

Though Seat of the Synod isn't modern legal anymore, derp, better double check my deck for other mirrodin stuff, forgot about that.

Actually Mirroden isn't banned just the lands. Interestingly enough Darksteel Citadel isn't banned.

Ah just the seats? Was thinking mirrodin was cycling out of modern, but then again I'm sure some douche told me that to screw with me, considering Mirrodin block and Kamigawa block were my faves. Double checked the ban list, so I'm only losing the artifact land at this point.

It's all of the artifact colored lands. I guess they figured Affinity decks would be fine with just Darksteel Citadel .

Yeah, I see that now, thanks for the help _
Though google is failing me, how does Arcum Dagsson interact with indestructible, as far as I'm concerned, they can be targeted, but not destroyed, since they're valid, but would second effect even go off as a result?

Indestructible permanents can be sacrificed yes. Indestructible only stops effects that destroy the creature and damage dealt to it. Sacrifice is simply a "place it in the graveyard" so it would still die.

Maybe I should put this down and go to bed -.- my mind read destroyed and not sacrificed, maybe it's all the cards running together in my head.
Thanks haha.

Can you use Read the Runes , or Stroke of Genius , maybe?

If you're playing White with your Blue (which, honestly, you should be), then card:Sphinx's Revelation would be better for you than card:Blue Sun's Zenith in almost every scenario.
Though, both are still very good.

Sands of Delirium + Tamiyo, the Moon Sage emblem? >:]

card:Blue Sun's Zenith seems right up your alley.
card:Tezzeret's Gambit works well with Modular or Sunburst mechanics though at sorcery speed.
