Choosing a General

Alright, so I'm getting a little bored with Standard lately. Not that I've given up on it, but building another deck in standard right now really isn't that appealing to me. Having said that I do want to build a deck and EDH seems to be the most fun as far as deck building goes. I'm having trouble picking a general though. So I'm gonna ask you the Tappedout community to suggest a General.
I'm looking for a general whose abilities are impressive and lend themselves easily to build a fun deck around. Only restrictions I give are these:
- Blue must be one of the colors in the General's color identity.
- The General must be less than or equal to $15. (preferably cheaper)

Control/combo predominantly and is what I think I would prefer for this deck.
As to the kind of player I am. Pretty much a Johnny player with a hint of Spike.

The people you play with/plan on playing with, how do their games go? Do they all run infinite combo decks, or do they run it more casually and look down on that kind of behaviour?

I actually don't get to play EDH. The people I play with predominantly draft and play standard, so if they're gonna play EDH, its gonna be by using one of my decks. So definitely casual.

For a Johnny control/combo player, Dralnu, Lich Lord seems like a general to consider. My friend runs this guy and the combos it pulls out are frankly atrocious :D

Both Experiment Kraj and Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind are fun to play, easy to make combos with (Gilder Bairn, Curiosity), and can be brutal when need be.

I'm in the exact same situation, rckclimber777. I've built the framework for a Riku of Two Reflections deck, and I can make it workable as soon as I get ahold of a commander pack. He seems like he can make easy and simple combos, plus is pretty cheap!

Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Oona, Queen of the Fae, any of the sliver generals, Jhoira of the Ghitu

So far three have caught my eye. Grand Arbiter Augustin IV had caught my eye when I was looking at generals on gatherer and thought I might consider it then. The other two that I'm considering are Jhoira of the Ghitu and Dralnu, Lich Lord. All of which I think could be fun to build around.
Please keep the suggestions coming though. Niv-Mizzet also has me curious but the other three seem to lend themselves to fun deck building.

What kinds of decks do you like to play? (As in control, combo, aggro, Spike, Timmy, Johnny, etc.)
