Come into play effects deck
Deck Help forum

Hi,
I really want to try out building a deck around effects that trigger when the card comes into play but unfortunately I'm terrible at deck buliding, so maybe someone can help me. I'm more interested in a casual kitchen table deck so no real format restrictions need to be considered (no Kiki Jiki though). I will list what I found so far.
Blinking:Brago, King Eternal, Eldrazi Displacer, Restoration Angel, Flickerwisp,
Come into play effects:Eternal Witness, Reflector Mage, Mulldrifter, Acidic Slime, Mystic Snake, Reclamation Sage, Thragtusk, Venser, Shaper Savant, Zealous Conscripts.
So, as I see it, going for bant might be the best option? Are there any helpful artifacts/enchantments worth playing?
I'm currently working on a Temur commander deck that has a blink subtheme. Notable mentions are Deadeye Navigator and Ghostly Flicker for blinking.
For ETB effects (in any color), there are loads of options (e.g. in white there would be Sun Titan), you can go infinite with Deadeye Navigator + Palinchron or Dualcaster Mage + Ghostly Flicker .
You can find my EDH deck here

Conjurer's Closet is pretty good in that kinda deck, same with Eerie Interlude. Venser, the Sojourner is pretty good and I'm not sure if he was mentioned yet, but Frost Titan and Sun Titan are fun.

Aven Riftwatcher , Orzhov Pontiff , Kitchen Finks , Shriekmaw , you can abuse things with Cloudshift + Fiend Hunter, Tidehollow Sculler, Oblivion Ring ect ect. and if you go that route pop in an AEther Vial. imagine t3 they have 2 nice creatures, your vial is ticked on 3, you pop out a Fiend Hunter either hard casted or with vial, then use Wasteland Strangler to use the card exiled with the hunter to make the other creature get -3-3 and die, thereby sidestepping the drawback of fiend hunter since the exiled card wont come back anymore.... eh eh?
If this sounds fun to you, and it does have blinking, you should look into modern W/B death and taxes, or hatebears.
heres a list. (shameless advert)Inhale, Exile. Try to breathe, it's Tax season.

Abusing mechanics can be fun too, like persist. There is the tried and true modern combo deck that uses meleria and persist creatures with sacrifice to combo but inside edh you get even more options like Woodfall Primus is a personal favorite of mine. Not only do you get more persist creatures to abuse but you get more ways to make the combo work. Cathars' Crusade and Juniper Order Ranger are another 2 cards that make persist work. You can also use creatures that enter to return creatures like Karmic Guide and Reveillark. So that is just one way to abuse enter the battlefield effects. You can also go the control route using Phyrexian Ingester or Gilded Drake. Another fun way to abuse flicker effects is trading cards. Effects like gilded drake's, Djinn of Infinite Deceits and my personal favorite Perplexing Chimera. I use it with Roon of the Hidden Realm to steal spells off the stack and then return the chimera to my control at end of turn by activating roon at my opponents end of second main phase. This makes them have to play a global effect, two spells, or instant speed answers in order to make any board presence. My favorite scenario is when I used the chimera to take an opponents Surrak Dragonclaw and got into an arguement about how it can't be countered for 5 min. Im not countering it, it's just now my spell. Hope all this helps and good luck brewing.

Stonehorn Dignitary is an overlooked common that will, in many cases, lock a person out of a game of mtg.

Mirror Mockery might be something to look into. It's pretty crazy with stonehorn dignitary. It's even crazier with Reflector Mage

Reveillark + Mirror Entity + Karmic Guide + Any ETB Creature is insane, since it's an infinite combo because you pay 0 for Mirror Entity, killing your creatures. Reveillark brings back Karmic Guide and Mirror Entity, who in turn brings back the. ETB creature, so... :
Reflector Mage: bouncy house of fun times
Mulldrifter: Infinite Draw
Acidic Slime (if Bant blink): Infinite Destruction
The combo always ends in the four, so you can abuse it easily every turn, if left alone.
Pardon me if I'm a burden, but advice would be appreciated for this deck
Hope this advice helps!
