I would really want to try and create a standard control deck. Can someone help me develop my deck? Azorius control I was going for a enchantment control type. Do I still need to add additional Hallowed Fountain s, Supreme Verdict , Detention Sphere and Cyclonic Rift ? What other cards can I add to make it better? Can you help me create a sideboard? Is there a link/thread on where I can read more about deck building?
I see. Do I still need counter spells? I am having trouble with selesnya lately.

The point of control is to keep your opponent locked down so they can't do anything worth while. The major way of doing that is with counter spells, which they have many of. If you wan to run control, you still have to have some way of defeating your opponent, because countering them isn't enough. Mill is a way to go, or creatures. You want to have a healthy balance of things that will be beneficial for your counter objective, and still provide the damage or mill that goes along with it.

I see. So it is like an alternate winning condition. Is that correct?

Think of it like control is a way of allowing a sub-par win condition to win. Such as mill or small creatures with no real combo.

u/w control has been winning with Entreat the Angels . You don't want to mill your opponents unless you are doing it with Rest in Peace if you're doing it a few cards at a time.

You might want to look into adding in some Chronic Flooding . It's more of a passive form of control. They still have access to their mana, but at the cost of mill. I'd suggest it for sideboard when you go against decks that don't cast out of their graveyard(such as golgari).
