Court Homunculus VS. Ardent Recruit

I'm building a budget Affinity deck and I was wondering which one is more deserving of the spot, Court Homunculus is an artifact, and only requires one other artifact to get +1/+1. Ardent Recruit requires 3 or more artifacts but gets +2/+2. Here's the deck: As a matter arti-FACT...No? Well...I tried..

Court Homunculus increases the effect from Cranial Plating and gets the bonus from Tempered Steel ; I would probably run that.

That's what I thought, unless I hear any extremely convincing arguments for Ardent Recruit i'll go with Court Homunculus
