Deck Help forum

Hi all! This is a budget deck, and I would prefer to spend less that 50$, meaning no dual lands, unfortunately.

I'm still on the fence about what I want this deck to actually do, whether it be aggro or ramp. Right now it's set up as a ramp deck but I am not sold.

I am worried about my matchups with hyper aggro decks, such as Gruul and RDW. Any advice on how to improve in that regard? I'm worried about getting steamrolled too fast.

Here's the deck - Selesnya Ramp

Thank you all for your help!

If you're on a budget you might be better off going with a archetype that doesn't need Thragtusk and Restoration Angel , both are cards that work best to fight these aggressive decks. Green midrange isn't competitively possible while on a budget. Aggro on the other hand might be, although they have a much stronger reason to need for dual lands (in fact dual lands are probably where you should be spending that budget on).

Demarge Thank you for your reply!

Seeing as I won't be taking this to an FNM anytime soon and I don't have any of these cards, I'm basically looking for a basis that I can build off. I will likely be buying duals and shocks after the release of Dragons Maze, which will hopefully drive prices downward a bit. I play with a relatively competitive group of friends, who also play budget decks. Would you reccomend I go the G/W aggro route instead of the midrange/ramp route?

Demarge I am also not wholly opposed to dropping white to go with a straight- mono green ramp or aggro, which may work better in terms of cost/performance

I'd recommend looking up the Naya Blitz archetype on TCGplayer, it'll hopefully give you plenty of ideas.

There are also some articles and that involve mono green aggro decks
