Deck Idea

Deck Help forum

Ok so how does this sound for a deck idea (I've already got the deck built and I'm gonna test it out at work tonight.) A fast hard hitting deck designed to do as much damage as possible in as little time as possible through the use of sorceries and instants (Shock being one of the lighter more inexpensive ones), and even creature abilities (Guttersnipe and Pitchburn Devils ). Almost literally every card I draw that isn't a creature or basic land is made to do direct damage (Flames of the Firebrand , Explosive Impact , aside from a few that prevent enemy creatures from blocking (Seismic Stomp ) and a few enchantments and instants that give my creatures a boost with strength and toughness and first strike (Thunder Strike and Madcap Skills ) I feel like this deck is meant to be played very aggressively as it doesn't have any means to sustain itself much longer than it absolutely has to. Ya know, hit em ' hard and fast and hope to god once things slow down that they're done or chances are you might be done for lol Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Isn't this called Red Deck Wins? Having never personally played that particular deck I may be wrong, but it sure sounds like your average mono-red burn deck.

I forgot to mention that this deck is an all red build. I figured since I made it to be aggressive I didn't want the headache of having the option to do a ton of damage but the wrong kind of mana to cast those damage inflicting spells lol

Could very well be. I'm completely new when it comes to deck builds. So if it is a mono-red burn deck, I apologize for wasting time, but I would be kind of excited to know that I have a basic understanding of how to build a deck correctly lol Seeing as it already exists

Red deck wins is a fairly established archetype, and generally performs well. It's very consistent and has relatively few matchups that completely hose it.

Where RDW really shines is its speed, so you're going to want to absolutely limit the number of cards in your deck that cost more than 4. The only 2 RDW cards I can think of that cost 5 are Thundermaw Hellkite and Zealous Conscripts because of their ability to end the game that turn.

Like the others said, it sounds like red deck wins. Does your deck look somewhat like this? Red Aggro Wins it's my own version of RDW for FNM. If so then it is an established deck type, and does fairly well.
