Deck inspired by Shadow of the Colossus video game
Deck Help forum

So I'm trying to build a deck inspired by the video game "Shadow of the Colossus," but I'm trying to limit myself to only 16 creatures. There are only 16 enemies in SoTC but they're essentially all boss fights, and I want to capture that spirit in this deck. Any suggestions for these creatures and cards to pull them easily is greatly appreciated. Examples of the kinds of creatures I'm aiming for: Emrakul, Ulamog, Blightsteel Colossus, etc. Heavy-hitters that wreak massive damage. I plan to ramp the sh!t out of them, too. Also looking for ways to cover my ass until I can drop one of these guys

Elf ball may be the way to go. Elvish Archdruid , Priest of Titania , Llanowar Elves , Fyndhorn Elves , and Joraga Treespeaker are pretty common in elf-based ramp decks and can pump out mana very quickly.

You could try to go with another color, but green is going to give you both powerful ramp and a field of blockers consistently and simultaneously. Other colors struggle to do either of these tasks while even thinking about the other.

I'm thinking of going multicolor with the deck itself but I'd like to keep these creatures colorless if possible so I can drop them with any color mana. Also, my ramp intention is spell-based, rather than creature-based. And elves are nice, no doubt, but I'm looking for the kinds of creatures that make the whole table scared when played.

I suppose you could go with Myr if you want (as in Palladium Myr , the metal Myr, Myr Galvanizer for the infinite mana loop, etc.). That gives you your colorless creature base.
There's also Thran Dynamo and Gilded Lotus as ramp options. Sol Ring exists but your friends probably won't like seeing it in a casual deck and the only two official formats you can play it in are Vintage and EDH.
If you can do colorless lands, Cloudpost + Glimmerpost (and occasionally Vesuva ) as well as the Urzatron lands (card:Urza's Mine, card:Urza's Power Plant, card:Urza's Tower) can offer some speed.

I don't know if this is a budget deck, but Show and Tell can easily be a turn 2 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn /fatty. But it requires Ancient Tomb or City of Traitors which all of them, with the exception of the tomb, expensive. You could even have some fun and throw Omniscience in there and turn 2 omniscience and hard casting emrakul for 0 and just wreck havoc like that.
In more cheaper ways:

Oh and color doesn't really matter but I'm trying to stay in the colorless and black neighborhood. Open to any color, though.
