Delver of Secrets or Fog Bank?

Deck Help forum

I've been running into a lot of problems with really early aggression and I've sideboarded Delver of Secrets  Flip to try to combat that but I was wondering if Fog Bank would be a better choice because it can block anything and live. The only difference in my mind is that Fog Bank doesn't deter attacks, it just absorbs some of it (and they're both one Pillar of Flame away from death so that's a wash...) Any suggestions?

Oh my deck is EMP- Experience Milling Project.

Thanks!

for the extra mana Hover Barrier is the way to go. Not alot of ppl in my shop run kill spells besides liliana of the veil.

If you're going to use Delver of Secrets  Flip , he needs to go in your mainboard. He's not that great of an answer to aggro coming in from the sideboard (compared to Jace, Architect of Thought , Essence Scatter , or Vampire Nighthawk ).

Fog Bank is probably the better sideboard option.

After looking through your deck, since I don't see you running Think Twice I'd recommend Cyclonic Rift over Devastation Tide . With Tide only going off on your turn, it can stall you as much as it does them. Cyclonic Rift is good without overload in a pinch, and can win games with overload.

For defensive purposes, Fog Bank will stop your opponent's largest creature each turn unless it has trample or protection from blue. I use Sleep in my mill deck, which is almost like taking an extra turn against aggro.

emrakool knows what be up. :) I agree, if you are looking for some better aggro protection then Cyclonic Rift or Sleep are the way to go. Blustersquall isn't a terrible choice either. But if you are looking for something a bit lower on mana cost than 4-ish, look no further than Downpour . While being a commonly overlooked card, instant speed tap 3 for two mana can really shut down Naya/Gruul humans on turn 2 or 3 when they really start to pick up. It makes a nice alternative to Essence Scatter , and can also be used late game to help clear a path for your own large creatures.
