Different kind of milling

I haven't made the deck yet but I was wondering if it would be possible to make a mill/burn deck? I'm not sure if it would be standard or modern but essentially would it be effective to combo mill cards (some with flashback) with Guttersnipe and Burning Vengeance ? I'm interested to hear if anybody thinks this could work and if so I'd like help lol. Thanks!
just thought it might be an interesting grixis deck with Consuming Aberration s etc, but I could see how it could be difficult to pull off.

Playing two different strategies that don't help each other isn't a good idea. Basically, you're trying to play two different games with only one deck's worth of cards.
It is possible to build a Guttersnipe / Burning Vengeance deck, however. What you want to do is load up on as many Flashback spells as you can manage and use mill effects only on yourself. With enough Flashback spells in the deck, those mill effects basically turn into draw effects. When you cast those spells from the graveyard, both Guttersnipe and Burning Vengeance will trigger to add a bunch of damage. Faithless Looting will be your best friend in a deck like this, as will spells like Think Twice , Dream Twist , Increasing Confusion , Mystic Retrieval , Silent Departure , Snapcaster Mage , Desperate Ravings , Devil's Play , Geistflame , and Secrets of the Dead .

yeah, and flashback costs are more expensive than their original. I'd suggest adding blue for cards like Talrand, Sky Summoner and Goblin Electromancer . Perhaps you're thinking along the lines of Underworld Dreams and Wheel and Deal ?

he's talking about milling himself so that he can flashback cards from his grave to do damage. it's a sound play strategy, but it take the dual nature of the flashback card away. Traumatize
would help and may other blue cards will let you put cards in your grave as you play other things.
but Kryptonick is right that you will want lots of card draw to keep advantage.

hmm good point =/ alright so what if I drop red and pick up green and use mill to buff creatures? Maybe go all zombies with Wight of Precinct Six ,Vulturous Zombie , Lord of Extinction Lich Lord of Unx etc? Or be more control with Circu, Dimir Lobotomist and Lazav, Dimir Mastermind ? In either case would it be better to mill myself or mill my opponents?

Well, there's some cards like Duskmantle Guildmage that deal damage based on milling. He turns a Glimpse the Unthinkable into a 5 mana, take 10 nuke. With Guttersnipe even 12 (although 1BBUU is a pretty hefty price for a 3 color deck).
I have a Dimir deck that uses him and Mindcrank for instant-kills. See Mind equals blown.

My question would be "Why?"
I built a deck using both Guttersnipe and Burning Vengeance , I'd much rather see burn and draw spells over mill spells in this type of deck.
If you're trying to kill them by burn, then milling doesn't help. If you're trying to mill them then Guttersnipe and Burning Vengeance don't help. If you go burn spells and draw spells you'll be furthering your own position (card advantage) and speeding up your win condition (burn spells).
