Do I need these Lanterns?

Essentially I am just wondering if I really need these Chromatic Lantern in my deck or should I spare the slots for some more plainswalkers? Was thinking maybe a Tamiyo, the Moon Sage or a Gideon, Champion of Justice ? Any advice would be great. Thank you!
Not only that, but how many people have destroy target planeswalker compared to those with destroy target artifact? And are they going to destroy staff of nin or your lantern?

Both Valid points, more often than not it my staffs just get o-ring'd rather than destroyed.
I appreciate the advice regarding the land base as well, just using what I currently have at the moment.

Cut your lanterns and play Sphinx's Revelation . Your mana is already perfectly balanced in this deck, and tapping out on turn 4 to play a lantern as a control deck is going to lead to disaster. I'd even go as far as cutting the Staff of Nin for a Jace, Memory Adept .

If you finding that you're using it as a mana resource other than the land-filter effect, You may want to switch to keyrunes, actually. Something like Orzhov Keyrune would also help your early-mid game, allowing you to not have to use removal/Wipes on a single attacking creature, while also ramping your mana.

Don't cut the staff. It's too powerful late game for the draw, AND because NEVER UNDERESTIMATE 1 DAMAGE. It does add up quick.

Staff of Nin 's 1 damage has never won me a game on the offensive. It may have saved me against Sorin, Lord of Innistrad /Lingering Souls /Snapcaster Mage before, but as a win-condition, that's 20 turns (without hitting anything else).
If you run so many Basic lands instead of the typical dual-land spread, Chromatic Lantern might be worth it. If you get more dual-lands, you won't need that much mana-fixing.

Thanks for the feedback guys, no Sphinx's rev anymore, used to have 3 but no longer. I like the idea of Orzhov Keyrune instead, only problem is that as a creature it is easily removed, but the 1 lifelink could be really helpful.
Staff of Nin hasn't won me games but it has saved me by keeping planeswalkers down. Thanks again for all the feedback.

With how many things have 2 more of one color in their mana cost, I'd keep the lanterns in. The amount of dual lands you have in there seem a bit iffy to support everything, but I'd get other opinions.
