Door of D and Wolves

Me and some friends have been wondering how Door of Destinies work with Werewolves. Primarily if I have two doors out and say one is Wolves and the other is humans do I stack counters each time they would flip? Does flipping count as a new creature entering the field or is it a pre existing creature? I obviously loose the wolf counter when he turns back right? Or is there some other option I might be missing? Thanks

It's a pre-existing creature; any counters, auras or equips stay on the creature as well.

Thanks Ablaze. Any thought of my first question about doubling DoD counters?

Door of Destinies

If you had two doors out one naming Human and one naming Werewolf each would get a charge counter when you play say...Instigator Gang  Flip . The creatures get a static pump from DoD so they'd each get an additional +2/+2.

The counter wouldn't fall off the DoD once they transform, you'd just lose the pump because your werewolf isn't a human anymore.

So; with 2 doors out naming both types Instigator Gang  Flip is a 4/5 (before they attack), and when it's transformed it's a 6/6.

However, Door of Destinies doesn't give counters, there are counters on it, but it doesn't give them itself. So, if you named Humans, and they flipped to werewolves, you would lose any bonus from Door of Destinies as it is no longer a human. And flipped creatures do not count as a new spell played, so if you named werewolves, flipping a human to a werewolf would not trigger Door of Destinies

Note that Door of Destinies (btw always tag cards if possible) only gets a counter when you actually cast a spell of the chosen type. Thus, even if you would flicker a creature of the correct type with Cloudshift or put it onto the battlefield with Unburial Rites , the door won't get counters.

Also, you don't lose counters on the door, except if the door itself leaves the battlefield for some reason.

I don't see any question about doubling counters but in theory you could add double the counters on the door with something like Doubling Season or Vorel of the Hull Clade .
