Alright so im going out of my comfort zone as far as magic the gathering goes and trying to build something I really know nothing about,im trying to build a Dragon deck but obviously most of the dragons (the good ones at least) are pretty high drop,I need to know good ways to ramp up in a mono red deck.

I was thinking about adding some kind of token production with Young Pyromancer,Molten Rebirth,Reverberate, and then Battle Hymn...but im not sure how practical that will be in practice

I dont know why I didnt bother to write that correctly >.> Young Pyromancer , Molten Birth Reverberate and Battle Hymn

That could work, but then would be little point to the dragons as you could just overwhelm the opponent with tokens. By the way I just though of Dragonspeaker Shaman .

Dragonspeaker Shaman is perfect, seething song is great as well, and all the decks I build are over the top like that "Ill just make about 20 tokens, then im going to put out a 6/6 flying dragon with haste, fire breathing, and protection from whatever I want...or something like that, but I like the idea of the Shaman XD

Depending on what dragons you are using you can use Quicksilver Amulet . I say this only because some cards require you to actually cast the card for the ETB to work.

From the list ive made I dont think any of the dragons even have a ETB so I should be good, this is why I love posting in the forums,I didnt even know this shit existed XDD

What format? If just Modern, maybe Semblance Anvil , Soulbright Flamekin , and Spinerock Knoll . If Legacy, Vintage, or Casual, then I also suggest Urza's Incubator , Sneak Attack , and Ruby Medallion .
Of course, if you include green, there are way more ways to ramp to dragons.

Im not quite sure,Modern or Casual would be a good place to put it at,Spinerock seems really really OP

It's really cool. Swing with a dragon or two, get through (most dragons have the ability to deal at least 5 damage at once), get a free dragon!

GoldGhost012 says... #13
Absolutely! Send in Bogardan Hellkite with Spinerock's ability, then burn a creature(s) and/or an opponent to pieces for 1 mana! If you only target your opponent and 2 5/5 dragons get through, that's 15 damage in 1 turn! Well, they're screwed.

I'm apparently a big deal around here.
Mono-red Dragon decks benefit from using cards like Seething Song and Pyretic Ritual to cast Dragonstorm and copy it several times. Other than that, mono-red decks don't have a lot of hard ramp. You can go for Geosurge if you don't plan on using Dragonstorm . There isn't really any good alternative to green ramp, though.

So would you suggest splashing green?,it sounds like a good idea at this point
August 22, 2013 11:39 a.m.
There's always artifacts that could ramp you, say Mind Stone , and as Epochalyptik mentioned, there's Dragonstorm . However that is very suspectible to getting X-for-1'ed. The best way I feel is probably something like Quicksilver Amulet . You won't risk mana screw, as with green, and if you have enough mana, you can get out a Dragon rather quickly.
If you do decide to splash, then I'd consider Bladewing the Risen , which is an excellent dragon.

There aren't really any ways for red to ramp other than rituals like Seething Song or artifacts like Sol Ring .
