Dread Slaver Deathtouch Abuse
Deck Help forum

So after going to a pre-release draft and pulling a Dread Slaver and pairing him up with lightning prowess, I had this idea of working him in with a Puresteel Paladin deck I made last year for standard (and did pretty shitty with).
The point of this deck is to get the paladin out early for draw mechanic, and to bounce around a wolfhunter quiver between deathtouch mobs until you can get out a dread slaver. Once you get the big guy out, you just steal creatures from your opponent by pinging them with deathtouch.
I want this to be more competitive; I want to play it at FNM and do pretty well, and/or at least surprise a few people. When I test it, I get pretty good results as long as I can get a quiver bouncing around on the rats. Tap one for lethal, move to another for free with the paladin, tap another for lethal, clear their field. Late game, if they manage to get something huge out, I hopefully steal it with Dread Slaver by either pulling him with paladin draw mechanic, by chance, or with tutor.
Let me know what you think, and for god's sake give me some suggestions on how to improve on the speed or at the very least card ratios in this one.
Thanks guys.

Well, you're in luck, because for some goddamn reason I figured this was the post worth responding to before I go to bed.
Your biggest issue right now is that you have 20 lands in your deck.
I consider myself to be rebellious and kitsch because I play 22. 24-25 is what you want to play when you curve out around 4~5, and a lot of people go 25-26 if they aren't running any land fetch/mana producing artifacts.
You have neither, Mycosynth wellspring does not count toward that, it's functional here because it replaces itself and earns you metalcraft, but what you are going to need to do for this concept, that is, dread slaver doing anything ever, is... beyond me.
We can start with the basic fixes, since you are playing essentially combo deck, you need anything that decreases the number of cards in your deck, so 4x Gitaxian Probe is a must.
Painsmith, glint hawk, anything that isn't immidiately relevant can go.
The deathtouch theme with the quiver is cute, but we can take ~12 cards at least out right there.
Pull the shields whenever possible and add ichor wellsprings, Heartless Summonings (for early slavers and Village Bell-Ringer s, and cut the boots asap too.
Get some board wipes, pretty sure nothing beats day of judgement.
4x Village Bell-Ringer is going to be big for you, because if you manage to get 4xEvolving Wilds (which will actually straight up fix your deck entirely), you can ping a creature wtih the quiver, untap your slaver with a ringer(for W) if you have Heartless Summoning out, and then day of judgment stealing the two creatures you pinged. The slaver's ability is independent of him surving anything, once you deal damage with him, you're getting htat creature should it die that turn.
