I need ways to cheat progenitus out. I have Fist of Suns and Dream Halls . Is there anymore?

Natural Order if it is in your library. As a general there are only few options. Can't think of anything else then Fist of Suns and Dream Halls . Omniscience would let you play Progenitus even if you don't have 2 mana of every color but it's kind of blue mana heavy at it's cost and kind of mana expensive too.

Omniscience wouldn't work since it specifies from your hand in it. As for your general you are very limited. The resident EDH expert Epochalyptik may have some suggestions. If you sent it to your library and had some kind of deck manipulation you could find a way to cheat it out.

Dragon Arch is a card I liked very much in any multicolor deck

My apologies, I did not read that he was your general. Disregard my comment then :)

Elvish Piper is my favorite. There's also Quicksilver Amulet , Sneak Attack , Dragon Arch , Natural Order , etc. You can choose to have it enter the graveyard instead of going back to the general zone, in which case any reanimator card will work, too.

Except that Progenitus can never hit the grave it gets shuffled back to the library

Show and Tell is only for cards in your hand like Omniscience . The same goes for Elvish Piper , Quicksilver Amulet , Sneak Attack , Dragon Arch and Natural Order .
Those won't won't help getting a commander out.
I misread this at first too.

Fist of Suns and every tutor spell u can think of. Also Fabricate

I know it's not technically cheatng him into play but him being your general complicates things.

how did everyone miss Maelstrom Archangel and Demonic Tutor
June 24, 2013 8:36 a.m.
Because Maelstrom Archangel says from your hand. Progenitus is his commander.

With Progenitus as your general, you may find that it's simply more effective to get the mana you need to cast him naturally than it is to cheat him into play. Most of your five-color decks are going to play something like Chromatic Lantern for fixing anyway, so adding something like Mana Reflection (or something of that ilk) doesn't seem much more difficult than the cheating solutions.
Making yourself able to play it naturally also benefits playing the rest of your deck.

Or you could pick a different 5-colour general like say Child of Alara and then you can cheat in Progenitus

Barandis brings up a very valid point. Rather than cheat him cast him. There is no end to the ramp cards. Good catch.

Except that Riftsweeper returns cards from Exile. The Command Zone is not Exile, so it will not be able to shuffle Progenitus into your library. (I'm only assuming that's what you're meaning... if you meant something else, please clarify)

I second DukeNicky on his comment. thats the best way to do it

I use a Ulasht, the Hate Seed deck where he isn't my win con... It's Thromok the Insatiable , wich is hiden in my library so my opponents can't see it comming. I suggest that you use Child of Alara as your commander. It will be far easier to cheat Progenitus in play. Other idea would be to add Mana Reflection , Mana Flare and other to help for progenitus...
The problem in cheating a commander is that the game is not made for commanders... Want a bigger challenge? Try building a Phage the Untouchable deck that can bring the commander into play :p

Mycosynth Lattice can lighten the load of getting the right colors together. With it, you just need 10 colorless, which is easy to do with mana rocks.

Rayenous, from what I understood, the command zone does not count as a normal zone within the game, so Riftsweeper can shuffle the Commander into the library. However, I could totally be wrong, so do you know where I could find a ruling on that?

There are a lot of cards to help you get the mana. This really may be the most effective way. And having this much mana will let you play mostly everything else you have in your deck too.

A friend of mine actually did build a phage deck. She started in the command zone and he libraried her and then played her the following turn. No clue how the combo worked though.

Bellock86 my tough was to cast her, counterspell her with Withering Boon then return her in the library somehow, tutor her and utimately cast her.... A long way to bring phage on the board from the command zone....

Torpor Orb works on Phage the Untouchable as well. If you want to do it the easy way you know...

Rayenous, from what I understood, the command zone does not count as a normal zone
The only zone not normally used [and therefor possible able to be said not counting as a "normal" zone] is the ante zone.
"400.1. A zone is a place where objects can be during a game. There are normally seven zones: library, hand, battlefield, graveyard, stack, exile, and command. Some older cards also use the ante zone...."
.... so Riftsweeper can shuffle the Commander into the library.
The command zone is not the exile zone so no, the riftsweeper cannot target a commander while the commander is in the command zone
"When Riftsweeper enters the battlefield, choose target face-up exiled card. Its owner shuffles it into his or her library."

ah gotcha. I'm glad, cause now it's one less card I need to worry about lol

Quicksilver Amulet any reanimation spell. Is Progenitus the general or just a card in the deck?
