EDH deck advice.

Looking for advice on a Mono-Green edh deck.
The crushing jaws of a howling slaybeast.

Playtest
The strategy of the deck is pretty basic, ramp like mad and play large creatures and surprising the opponent with a big fatty earlyish game.
Another strategy is to utilize cards like Pattern of Rebirth and Dramatic Entrance to bring in a creature for much lower than it's cost.
Plans for this deck includes switching out my basic Forest for Snow-Covered Forest s if the deck gets to a competitive level, which I hope it does.
I am not sure on the ramp, I feel like it needs one or two more ramp cards to help the odds of getting ramp in my opening hand.
Any help is much appreciated, like I said, if I can, I would like to take this deck to an event or near that.

Do you have any hydras? Because hydras are really good when you have a few in your hand and a crap ton of open mana. I have a mono green hydra tribal edh deck with my general as polukranos, a few hydras, and a shit-load of mana dorks and mana ranp things..it is really effective
