EDH deck not cutting it, need help.

If someone could please take a look at my EDH deck it would be much appreciated. I just don't know what to do with it to make it better. I even changed my Commander. It's a R/G gruul deck with Wort, the Raidmother as my commander. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

ok and apparently i posted it the link wrong, not sure why it didn't work. i followed the formatting tips exactly. Oh well. You can find the deck on my page, its called "The Way of the Fist"

I'm not much of an EDH-player, But I have taken it up recently. It looks to me like you can't really get that much out of your commander, Your creatures all see to fit into the "look at my awesome creatures" category, but i can't see a collective goal, or comboes. Don't get me wrong, most of your creatures are great, but they look like they are there just because they fit your commanders colours.

For you commander to work properly, i would suggest more mana ramp. Sylvan Caryatid , Birds of Paradise , Harmonize , Kodama's Reach etc. There are a ton of other cards you could use, but i forget.

Use all this mana, and you commander, to play as many X sorceries as you can, Fireball and stuff like that. Double the damage with your commander, and it's pretty much game over.

Another good use of your commander could be reds temporary Control Magic . There are a lot of Act of Treason isque abilities that could suprise you opponents.

Would also suggest an Overrun with you commander, and your creature base, it could make a huge impact. Another way to make the Conspire ability kick in is using tokens. Young Pyromancer can certainly help out in that area, if you get more sorceries and Instants. I would also suggest Chandra's Phoenix .

Also, Sol Ring , Thran Dynamo .

There are a few principles in magic that, if you maximize, you can make a very good deck. The first is, you draw one card per turn. The second is you play one land per turn. The third is your maximum hand size is 7 cards. For your deck, let's take each one in turn.

Draw one card per turn
If you want to continue to have pressure on the board, you want to always have cards in your hand. For green, Harmonize is a very good spell which you can conspire with your general. This will net you 2 cards in hand when you cast it, and it can be recurred in green using Eternal Witness or Regrowth . You can also potentially draw more with Sylvan Library which is a very good card. You can also use Garruk, Primal Hunter and Momentous Fall . In Red, you have wheel effects, Wheel of Fortune , Wheel of Fate and Reforge the Soul . If your hand is completely empty, these read as "draw 7 cards." There are also other creatures which allow you to do this effect. The third principle is also related to this, if you draw a lot of cards, its worth to run Reliquary Tower to keep these cards in your hand.

Playing one land per turn
You want to get as many land drops as possible in order to accelerate ahead of your opponents. Nature's Lore and Skyshroud Claim are both very good because the forests can come in untapped, so you can play more spells per turn. You can also find cards like Stomping Ground and Taiga with it. Oracle of Mul Daya let's you pull lands from the top of your library while also getting you an extra land drop. And Azusa, Lost but Seeking gets you an additional 2 land drops.

thank you guys so much. yeah i agree i wasn't sure what the goal of this deck really was. I changed commanders a few times and then just started putting whatever was in those colors i thought would be good. I never really thought using the conspire mechanic as a combo maker. thanks.

ok i went through a fixed the deck up. Please take a look at it again and let me know what you think. also i will be needing a bunch of the cards i posted in the revised deck, so if you have a minute please check out my binder to see if we can work something out. Many of them aren't big money cards, just stuff i didn't have. Thanks for the help again.
