Im looking for cards for a mono Blue EDH on a budget my general is Thada Adel, Acquisitor any ideas would be appreciated thanks!

What is the deck/what does it aim to do?
Good, cheap blue EDH cards: Capsize, Time Stop, Rhystic Study, Clone, Hinder, Magus of the Future, Mindbreak Trap, Leyline of Anticipation, Sphinx of Magosi, and arguably Venser, Shaper Savant, Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, and Future Sight
Artifacts: Vedalken Orrery, Extraplanar Lens, Gauntlet of Power, Caged Sun, Erratic Portal/Crystal Shard
Lands: Halimar Depths, Tolaria West

Knowledge Exploitation is a bomb, especially in Thada.

I don't know yet I don't have this deck on tappedout but it seems to be lacking a killing/winning edge I run a decent amount of counterspells like Discombobulate and a bunch of junk blue creatures i.e. Spiketail Drakeling I sort of need a direction to go in

I like the idea of Thada Adel, Acquisitor as a general. the best part of it is that she steals everyone else's Sol Ring s. I would suggest a lot of island-granting spells, Streambed Aquitects , Spreading Seas , Convincing Mirage , Tideshaper Mystic and their ilk. then throw in some spells worth the huge amounts of mana from the various artifacts you'll steal, Stormtide Leviathan definitely fits in, Sphinx Ambassador ties in with the stealing idea, might as well throw in Psychogenic Probe , card:Cosi's Trickster, Psychic Surgery amongst other "steal from library" or "shuffle library" effects. O and Grozoth and company for a mana sink

Not exactly what you are asking for because his articles are tailored to multi-colored decks but Bennie Smith over at SCG has a running series of cheap cards that are still good in commander. You can scan all the decks containing blue for a decent starting point.
