Eldrazi Deck (Need suggestions)

Deck Help forum

I want to make a deck that centers Eldrazi and the tokens. I got some good Eldrazi cards but I need some suggestions on what to do with them.

Primeval Titan + Eye of Ugin + Eldrazi Temple + Summoning Trap .

Anything else is just unnecessary.

Specifically, just build Eldrazi Green from last year's Standard.

Basically, it's 4x Primeval Titan , 4x Explore , 4x Overgrown Battlement , 4x Summoning Trap , some card:Green Sun's Zenith s, some miscellaneous other things for ramp (Rampant Growth probably... maybe a few Eye of Ugin , 4x Eldrazi Temple , 4x Glimmerpost s (to keep Primeval Titan useful beyond his second turn and extend your game reach), then just a shitload of Forest s.

Oh. And 2 of each Legendary Eldrazi, of course. Or just 2 Emrakuls and 4 Ulamogs. Because Kozilek, Butcher of Truth is nice, but he's wide-open to all forms of removal.

I will look into getting these cards. I'm always up to making different types ::)

What kind of deck?

Extended, Modern, Legacy, Vintage, or Casual?

I got a U/G that I have been happpy with that utilizes some of what zandl said.

I tride to make it budget friendly, so it includes many different hard-to-target and hard-to-block creatures. I got kinda lucky building it because I pulled 2 Primeval Titan s out 4 packs of boosters.

I didn't think about including deck examples.

Typical Eldrazi deck when it was standard - Eldrazi Ramp.

This is what I was running most of the time when Eldrazi were standard, but you may want something less risky and more budget-friendly. Las Vegas Eldrazi.

And this is what I'm currently using, although it's more of a casual deck. Eldrazi Tron Trap.

Casual deck :), something I won't get broke over LOL. :)

My friend runs a casual deck that generates a lot of Spawn tokens (through Brood Birthing , Awakening Zone , etc) and then beats you down with Broodwarden and Raid Bombardment .

Then just add a few Hand of Emrakul into the mix.

Raid Bombardment is just a crap-common that can be found in any 5-cent common bin.

Parallel Lives looks good to add in this deck. From the looks of the token spawns and such I was thinking a Green/Red Eldrazi deck.

G/R is definitely the best way to go.

Geosurge will help you out.

torridus says... #18

Probably not, since that's for mono-red decks. You won't be able to cast Geosurge until late-game because of its mana-intensive casting-cost and the fact that you're going to be primarily producing green and colorless mana early game.

I made a prototype deck already. I kind of stink at putting decks together LOL.

Birds of Paradise and there are plenty of T: add any color mana. You could also run Seething Song and not worry about it, Just don't run 4of's. If it's casual, it's not bad.

I was also thinking of throwing Thromok the Insatiable in there.

Jokernaught says... #22

Well I would say yes to that. You don't have te power Eldrazi, you can get away with other heavy hitters.

torridus says... #23

Jokernaught - Seething Song is fine if you want to speed yourself up, because that's 2R and therefore splashable in multicolor decks. Geosurge is RRRR though, which is difficult to cast outside of mono-red when you want to cast it.

yunasenna - Thromok the Insatiable isn't a good card unless you can consistently give it trample or you have Fling -like effects. It can be easily blocked/killed, and usually isn't a very big threat no matter how many creatures it devoured when it came into play.

yunasenna says... #24

Well..........what about giving it hexproof? Like Swiftfoot Boots ?

And I do got some flings I can toss in.

Hexproof doesn't help; people can just block Thromok with 1/1s all day. Vigilance or Trample would be kinda better. Since you're going toward a token deck I wouldn't put in Fling s... maybe Overwhelming Stampede ? Stampede could be really good but you'll have to make sure you speed up your token-generating process.
