Elixir of Immortality over Think Twice....

Deck Help forum

In my deck: U/W Sprinkle Xmas I dropped 2x Think Twice for 2x Elixir of Immortality

The think twice is now in my sideboard.

I found myself getting pretty close to out-drawing my own deck. I thought the elixir would be a good solution to this potential problem. I considered Psychic Spiral but I find life gain more cohesive in the plan for this deck than milling my opponent...

What do you guys think??

Think Twice in sideboard? Ew. You would almost never side it in. Also, to me, Think Twice and Elixir of Immortality shouldn't be fighting for spots. Think Twice gives you card advantage, I would take card advantage over lifegain any day. Elixir of Immortality seems like a good sideboard choice, not a mainboard one.

But the deck already has plenty of card draw, like i said i nearly draw out my devk every game, and that's without think twice half the time

...But have you ever drawn your entire deck out? It's no different than winning each game with 2 life every time, you still won. I'd consider Elixir of Immortality as a one-of. I'd cut the two Psychic Spirals for Think Twice, then swap a Centaur Healer for Elixir of Immortality (moving it to the sideboard).

I'm also wondering why Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Jace, Memory Adept aren't in your mainboard, especially Tamiyo, the Moon Sage. Both have such amazing board presence and are good in almost every matchup.

I don't know to be honest lol. They are definitely both great cards, but i guess i dont find either necessary to include within the main board....and even so, i don't see any room for them. This deck has been dominating without them so idk lol

I was noticing the space issue as well. The only thing I can think of is moving around some Azorius Charms, but they have way too much utility. What do you usually sideboard out? I think at least Tamiyo, the Moon Sage is worth finding space to mainboard.
