I am not completely new to MTG but I am doing terrible with my deck building and I need help. I bought a booster box of Innistrad and a fat pack, so I have cards I'm just having trouble with what to make. I thought I did pretty good with getting 10 Innistrad mystics and even got a Garruk Relentless but I came on this website and most to all of the decks on here have a lot of copies of hard to obtain cards in them, and I'm overwhelmed with what to do. I would like to start actually playing at FNM instead of just against friends, so I would like to stay in the Standard format. So someone please help?

I prefer aggro and I'm in high school and have no job so budget is limited, and there are two local card shops available.

hmm.... Well it really depends on what cards you have. Building a deck from the cards that I get from a box is one of my favorite things to do. I look through the cards and decide what goes well together. Figure out if there is some synergy between cards such as splinterfright, wreath of geists and boneyard wurm. I don't know what cards you have and thus it is much harder. Many people don't like the inconsistency of the werewolves, I happen to think that they're actually going to be good. Many people like the vamps, I also think they'll do well. If you're building your deck from just Innistrad cards then it could be tricky to have a competitive deck as most people are working with the entire scars block. The key though is to keep refining the deck. If you like aggro, then I'd run low red drops like Reckless Waif Flip Flip. Stromkirk Noble , Stormblood Berserker and perhaps run some black as well with Vampire Interloper , Bloodline Keeper Flip Flip, then maybe some Victim of Night s and perhaps some curses. If you want to be competitive then Shrine of Burning Rage is a must. Once you have a deck built, throw it on to here and post it and there are plenty of people to critique and give insights to perfect the deck.

Well, the advice we give you depends on the direction you want to go. A deck like UW Sword Control will be much more difficult to put together than Red Deck Wins or tribal aggro. However, the play style is completely different. What kind of deck would you prefer to play, and what resources (budget, quality/presence of local card shops, etc.) are available to you?
