Fiend of Shadows playable?

I'm thinking of changing up my Mono-Black discard deck a little to include Heartless Summoning and Fiend of the Shadows , using Chromatic Lantern to provide the ability to cast the exiled cards. I considered Gilded Lotus , but it might not work out as well due to the popularity of multicolored decks.

It sounds a little janky, which is just what I like in my decks. Thoughts?

That actually sounds like a really cool idea, upon the release of gatecrashed, you could also run Nightveil Specter .

Here's what I threw together deck:heartless-shadows.

I decided to lean towards a creature-heavy control method because of Heartless Summoning , but I think it needs streamlining.
