Check out Master Craftsmen. I added WorldslayerMTG Card: Worldslayer, and I think it will make for a very fun result. I'll playtest it, and might reverse my decision. But for now, I think it will be fun.

Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus + WorldslayerMTG Card: Worldslayer

When you attack, your opponent has to throw 11 toughness worth of creatures in Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus's path, effectively clearing the board (or at least taking a huge chunk out of it). If even a single point tramples over, you wipe the board of everything, except WorldslayerMTG Card: Worldslayer and Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus (indestructible), leaving the next round a pretty certain win.

I don't like that with that deck, having WorldslayerMTG Card: Worldslayer means Shape AnewMTG Card: Shape Anew won't guarentee I end up with Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus anymore. Essentially, it will slow the deck down enough to require two Shape AnewMTG Card: Shape Anews before I can count on a win instead of one. But, it ups the effectiveness of the win. Still now sure if the addition is worth it.

WorldslayerMTG Card: Worldslayer is good in indestructible creature decks regardless. Somebody played a deck like that on me at FNM once not to long ago.

I just think it would be really fun to clear the table of everything except for a blightsteel. I think I'll need to up the control a bit to help keep the game alive long enough to see it happen.

i had helvault in mine and the mana was mono red though.

Swung with a manor gargoyle in the air with worldslayer on it, in response to worldslayer trigger use helvault to exile him. Worldslayer destroys everything and i get my gargoyle back.

Uhh. Why use a 12-cost Indestructible creature when you could just be using Predator OozeMTG Card: Predator Ooze?

It just seems to me that, if you HAD to use WorldslayerMTG Card: Worldslayer and inherit all of its badness, Predator OozeMTG Card: Predator Ooze would be a good candidate.

But it still only takes your opponent playing an Island and casting Vapor SnagMTG Card: Vapor Snag, and that's more-or-less game over.

This was a Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus/Shape AnewMTG Card: Shape Anew deck long before I added WorldslayerMTG Card: Worldslayer. It's not a WorldslayerMTG Card: Worldslayer deck. If it were, it would look much different.

Also, Vapor SnagMTG Card: Vapor Snag isn't much of a threat again 4x Mental MisstepMTG Card: Mental Misstep.

Half the time, you'll have the counter. Half the time, you won't. That's statistics.

@zandl What are you suggesting? That this deck doesn't work because someone might have a Vapor SnagMTG Card: Vapor Snag?

a. I don't think the odds of me having Mental MisstepMTG Card: Mental Misstep is exactly 50%. I'm no statistician, but that seems pretty unlikely. I would say it's at least as likely that I'll have that as it is my opponent has Vapor SnagMTG Card: Vapor Snag.

b. Even if I don't have Mental MisstepMTG Card: Mental Misstep, I also have 4x NegateMTG Card: Negate, and 4x Mana LeakMTG Card: Mana Leak. That's the whole point of counter spells. It's not game over because your opponent casts a spell you don't like. Counter it!

c. It wouldn't be game over anyway. This deck has back up plans. There are 2 copies of Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus in the deck. I can always Shape AnewMTG Card: Shape Anew the other one. (Odds are just as good that I'll have Shape AnewMTG Card: Shape Anew as it is that I'll have Mental MisstepMTG Card: Mental Misstep.) Also, CryptoplasmMTG Card: Cryptoplasm is there to clone Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus, giving me a second one.

If they play Vapor SnagMTG Card: Vapor Snag, you have a 50% chance of already having the counterspell.

Whatever. Have fun with WorldslayerMTG Card: Worldslayer.

also predator ooze? really? 2 words. Tragic SlipMTG Card: Tragic Slip

And the odds of him having the counter depends on the turn. 4x tragic slips in a deck of 60 means he has a 1/15 chance of drawing it. turn 1 he has just under 50% (7/15) of having the spell. Considering the colossus isnt hitting the field until about turn 4 we can assume he has drawn 11 cards from his deck.

11/15 chance of having the spell.

The odds of running a 4of spell you don't need until turn 4, pretty good.

not to mention most decks that run vapor snag (which in standard right now are... delver) don't run a full playset.
