First Modern Tournament
Deck Help forum

Hello everyone, I'm currently working on a deck for my first modern tournament as the title states... However, I'm not exactly a modern player, have no awareness of the current meta-game nor the meta in the area I am going to be playing in.
This having been said, I've decided that my best bet would be to work with a deck that can be versatile in how it works as well as what it does... I decided that I would like to take a D&T style deck into this tournament for that reason..
Here's the current concept I've placed together: Death and Taxes
Comments and help is greatly appreciated and thank you all in advance!
Thanks for the input, a friend and myself sat down and did some playtesting and we decided a lot of changes needed to be made for my deck to compete at all as it could handle turn one through 3 fine... after that was when the issues began. Nowhere near enough lategame to handle anything if I had over-extended at all and a wipe hit...We came to conclude that running hatebears would be a better option for me.
And that having been said... Hatebears
The hatebears came out and changes had to be made in the case of missing cards or not being able to borrow them. Thanks again for your input as it was quite informative on how to play this deck before I even really had it together

A couple cards you might want to consider is Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Grand Abolisher, and Gaddock Teeg. I run hate bears too here is my deck it has come in 2cd before at FNM, http://www.mtgdeckbuilder.net/Decks/ViewDeck/520760. Hope this helps. And if you want to know how well it works, it plays like aggro is control. It cripples Pod, control decks, and stuff like that, good luck.
