I'm new here and just wanted to say hello, also wondering what you guys think of the deck I built and if this is the right forum for suggestions on it?

If it was kept in a bag like that, I would say it is prob heavy play. Still, you could prob get a ton for it(thousands). If you post some pictures you could get a better opinion. There are some people on here who deal with stuff like that, and know where to shop it around.

If you are rolling with a Lotus, then you might have some other cards of note. Binder them up, and post pictures of the pages. You will get some good advice.

DERPLINGSUPREME. So. One post about how bad it is to promote your deck without reason, and the next thing you do is posting a link you your thread about MTG and sexuality in this thread that has nothing to do with that? :)

Be careful, and research before you do anything with it. Get it stored safely in the mean time. So no more damage happens.

Tolarius you're going to be so happy you kept that once piece of crap card instead of trading it for a shivan dragon. just wondering, sinse I didnt play back then, Why WASNT BL worth money? it seems that even back then, it was still 3 for 0 mana. also, contary to popular belief, BL was actualy an uncommon.
I might have gotten that last one wrong.
at any rate, Tolarius, WHAT CONDITION IS IT IN. If thats in good condition, yuh got 2 options: keep it in a bulletproof safe 20 miles underground, octuple sleeved, in a vacuum so nothing can ever wear it down, and keep it for a rainy day when you really need the money, OR, and this is what I would do, cuz I'm a stupid, Sell. it. you get, lets say, 7000 for it? with that 7000, you can do alot, but y'know what'd I do? do research, get help from friends, and find an EDH you'd like to play. once the list is complete, buy it. lets say its, what, 400 max? now that you're into edh and have a deck you like, play some, and if you REALLY like it, buy another deck.

or if you want to blow more of that $7,000 on EDH by a top tier, perfectly build $2,000 EDH deck. Because I'm poor and I can easily build $600 decks.
That's not to say you can't build a good deck for cheap, but if you're selling a lotus to get into EDH i'd go big.

this is amazing to me, a small card I used to have fun with as a kid is worth some actual money. There is a guy that owns a shop down the street and he buys and sells magic cards, I should see what he thinks it's worth. I'll have to take pics when I'm not working.
April 14, 2015 2:46 p.m.
That'd be great! Sorry your deck help thread kinda got hijacked into a OHMYGAWD LOTUS thread.

-x-Juuzou-x-x- thats fucking insane. I'm top tier, and my decks are $300 MAX. Then again, I don't pimp them, and that could be an easy hundred or so on the cost. but still, why u spend so much?
Tolarius that isnt even a card anymore.
its a fuckin INVESTMENT. Its just stock at this point, no one's ever gonna play with it now, they're too afraid its price will go down.
also, got a thing you should look at and post on Tolarius. In loving memory of the prettiest flower in MTG

Tolarius, that is where research comes in. A shop will low-ball you generally, they need to leave room for profit. Most places will give 50% maybe even less. Though it is good to ask him first, and see what he is thinking. Just make sure you are good with walking away to get more info. Get a deck together on here of all the old cards you have. We can point out the money ones to you, or you can just click through, and find them.

That's weird. I guess foiling does take it's toil. I was thinking Epoch's Dominus and a friend of mine. He has a $1,200 Sharruum deck that wrecks our playgroup.

Derp, 300 is not top tier. I would say semi competitive at best. Maybe not even there. 2.5-3k is top tier.

adding to didgery's comment, first off, sleve the SHIT out of all your dual lands and that lotus if it isnt already. Put it in a safe for god's sake. anyhow, DO NOT sell it at a shop. as he said, thay'll lowball you, and might try to rip you off. second, do not take it out in public, a MTG player will smell the value and shank you to get the card. If you do carry it in public, have a weapon with you. (the sad part is that even though it sounds like I'm joking, I'm.. really not, not that much, at least). If you sell it on ebay, DO NOT misspell the name when you post it. if you do, people won't find it, and someone elso who misspells it will get it for cheap. when shipping it, hecta-sleeve it and put it inside a plastic box warpped in ductape, inside of a large package full of styrafoam peanuts.

Didgeridooda trust me, It can top tier with a little modification. I water it down b/c i'm in a casual playgroup, but my nihiri/isamaru voltron can win T8 as is. when It isnt watered down, It can win T4.

Welcome to T/O! My name is Magicrafter, and I play standard, so I'll check out your deck. Like everyone else has said, you can ask ChiefBell or Epochalyptik with any questions about the site.
Happy T/Oing!

I think some misprints go for more, but in legit cards its definately the top lister and by far.

-x-Juuzou-x-x- No. Other power nine Alpha cards go up to around $15000 I think, maybe a bit under, but nothing rivalises with the Lotus.
